I wanted to take a moment to thank people on this thread - for sharing! I am starting to feel a 'lift' from this place I've been; that sicky feeling is gone, a little more energy, less pain but still stiff. Last week I added the epsom salt baths w/ peroxide (anyone know why peroxide and how it helps?), the lemon and Alia seltzer gold just 3 times (can this be overdone? - not sure how much alka-seltzer is safe), and lemon water each day. I missed Travelers last post until this morning and am thinking adding in the liver detox. So thanking people for their input - even seeing a little lift is helpful and hopeful.
Traveler: Question when you have time. The Ginger juice? Do you use a juicer to get that? We have a huge, heavy, clunky Jack LaLane (LOL!) juicer from the 80's hidden away. I suppose I can revive that ugly thing. If it helps me feel better - than its worth it. And - all of that juice and sugar is ok? I get concerned with feeding the borellia and sugar. Thoughts? Lastly, binders - you are referring to things like activated charcoal? And are you saying taking it 2 hours before or after food or herbs is ok and helpful?
Am trying to add it only one thing at a time to see what is working. So deciding what is the next step.
Thanks again -
Well, it definitely takes most of the members to keep this community functioning this way - which is why we really want everyone to interact on the threads - new ideas and suggestions are always passed around that way! So a big thank you to everyone that helps to answer questions, bump threads, welcome new members, or just letting someone know they are not alone!!
As for the ginger, or any thing really - I really like this site for the breakdown of just what I'm consuming: nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2447/2
You'll see that ginger has very little sugars in it, and since you can change the serving size (at the top, but below the ads), it's really a winner for me, as my brain just doesn't do math any more!
If you were referring to the ginger syrup - the honey in it won't hurt, unless the person has a serious issue with candida. Honey - natural, real, raw, and local honey, has a lot of beneficial and medicinal properties to it, although it should not be given to children under a year. Here are a couple of articles that show some of the benefits of honey: /draxe.com/the-many-health-benefits-of-raw-honey//www.organicfacts.net/health-benefits/health-benefits-of-honey.html
And, you don't actually take that much at a time, if you are talking about
the ginger syrup - just about
a shot glass full (around 1.5 ounce).
If you are talking about
using just ginger, not the ginger syrup, then fresh ginger (1 tsp) would be put into a cup of just boiled water and steeped for about
10 minutes - you can add either honey or stevia to taste.
I do hope that helps!! If not, ask again!! LOL!
