Do you think that candida can really make you feel like you are dying? That every body part is being affected?
I went to a new dr that felt that I might not have lyme. She feels it could be more yeast related. She took 14 vials of blood. Follow up in three weeks. I am now questioning whether it's Lyme or candida or both.

Several years ago I had 4 IND bands and 2 positives through igenix. One time I had band 23 show up from labcorp. But only once. She didn't think the IND bands meant much.

I will find out on my follow up. She included a candida test in there also.

I feel like I am dying. I have a hard time believing the whole candida thing and the diet is so extreme I just cant stick to it.

From what you just said here, I would rest assured you have Lyme. You may also have candida as collateral baggage of Lyme induced dysfunction, but that in no way negates Lyme.

I hope this new doctor is not an LLMD. Certainly doesn't sound like one. Band 23 is borrelia specific, if I remember correctly, and many doctors would consider an IND a weak positive.

The worse cases of candida can actually be lethal, it has happened.

I'm guessing these people were not under a Drs care and this was found by autospy.

This is one of the reasons conventional medicine uses against long term lyme ABX. (Even though its done for TB and acne).

Chances are on your side that you will live.

Some of my biggest issues were all yeast related. (Remember - don't focus on just candida. I made that mistake and countless doctors just did a candida test - which was negative.... when I actually had a non-candida saccharomyces cerevisiae systemic chronic yeast strain.)

When I knocked back the yeast (I don't believe I got rid of it - I am pretty sure I'd still test positive for it), it resolved my kidney pain (which made me sick), headaches, and menstrual headaches. Granted, I know these aren't the worst symptoms compared to others, but alas, none of the doctors could help me. I self-treated for yeast, and wouldn't you know it... those symptoms went away! Most people don't associate those symptoms with yeast. But who knows how it can affect you.

I didn't feel better on lyme herbals. But I did feel better going after the yeast. Everybody is so different. Such a challenge.

I wouldn't discount lyme (and the coinfections) quite yet. But I also wouldn't underestimate the negativity of yeast (both candida and non-candida strains).
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.
