Hi Everyone.
I'm new this this. I had an Igenix blood test blood and need help with results.
Western blot igg: positive
Bands
41++
58+
83-93+
Western blot igm: negative
B borrelious: negative
Bartonella fish: positive
Symptoms :
Leg muscle stiffness weakness and pain.
Muscle twitching all over.
Right hand weaker in the morning.
Just want to know if these symptoms can be Lyme related.

I had a tick on me for a day and pulled it off myself. Went to doc and gave me one pill of doxy. This was in October of 2015.

Thank you for your help.

Hi serino01 - welcome to our community!

So your results show you are IGG positive for lyme and also positive for bartonella.

...and yes all those symptoms can be lyme and bart.

I had the muscle twitching (all over), weakness (not just my right hand though), and muscle pain.

The fact that you had a tick on you for a day, coupled with symptoms is enough for a clinical diagnosis. The tests obviously back it up.

One pill of doxy? Un f--cking believable. That's ridiculous.

My advice to you is you find a LLMD or LLND for treatment.

We can help you find one: Just start a new thread: "Looking for LLMD/LLND in /near______" and fill in the blank. Then enable your email (through My Profile) so we can send you names privately.
We don't post the names of the LLMD's on here for their privacy and protection.

You can also email me - click on the envelope under my screen name on the left. I may have some options for you.

We encourage all new members read through the information in the thread: "New to Lyme?..Start Here!" It's packed full of useful information.

Keep reading, posting, asking questions. We're here to help you with this.

Hi thank you for replying.
I went to an infectious doctor and he put me on doxy 100mg twice a day and ricanpin 300mg twice a day. I just wanted to be sure that I was positive for Lyme. I been on these meds for 3 weeks now but been getting some anxiety/ panic attacks. Wondering if it is a side effect of these drugs. Also would like to know if there was something more in the supplement field I can take to fight this Lyme infection. Thank you

Bartonella can cause anxiety...and the Rifampin may be creating a die-off that is resulting in a herx.
A herx can be an uptick in usual symptoms and/or new ones appearing.

Are you detoxing? That is something you should be doing.

Drink plenty of water
Squeeze some fresh lemon juice into some of the water you drink
Take a binder (2 hours away from your meds, supplements, food)
Take warm epsom salt baths
Dry brush your skin prior to bathing or showering
Take Nutramedix Pinella and Burbur

A few ideas. Start with a couple and every few days add in a new detox method...until you are doing multiple daily.

Here are more suggestions:

Are you taking magnesium? That is a supplement many Lyme Dr.'s suggest.
And probiotics are a must when on long term antibiotics.

How are your vitamin d and b12 levels?

Hi Girlie
So I take vitamin b12 twice. A day
Vit b complex twice a day
Activated charcoal twice a day
Coq10 twice a day
Vitamin. D3 10000iu a day
Vitamin c
R alpha acid 600 mg a day

I don't take magnesium. I thought it was bad if you have Lyme.

No, magnesium is not bad if you have lyme.

It helps with so many body functions - helps with nerve and muscle, as well as heart health, diabetes... Good for the bones.
