Hi Everyone!
My son had to stop abx inAugust after a year because his wbc count was so low. He had been on Japanese knotweed, houttuynia and gou teng since March 2017, and still is. He’s started sida acuta in Fall 2017 and just started cats claw.
His remaining sx back then were anxiety/ocd, fatigue, unable to unclench one finger, occasional left rib pain, vocational visual floaters

In November he was having pretty bad constipation so I gave him inulin. Overnight he woke up to extreme pain below the navel. Initially it lasted all day, but then it went down to two hours every morning From 6-8 or 7-9. He missed every single morning of school. His school marks went from 95% to 56% sad

I didn’t have enough money at the time to get a stool test, so the LLND suggested caprylic acid. That and something called Iberogast helped somewhat.

I was finally able to afford the microbiology profile stool test from Doctors Data. The results came back that candida was fine, but he had an overgrowth of klebseilla pneumonia and entrobacter clocae. I may have fed the klebseilla with the inulin sad

His current sx are ocd/anxiety, fatigue and gi pain. Finger, rib and visual sx very rare. Anyway, he is now taking a week of Bactrim (Doctors Data tells you what meds the bacteria are susceptible to) and it might be interesting to see if he herxes from it for Lyme/bart.

I wish everyone good health!
Girlie I am so excited about your trip to DC!!

Hi Lymiemomster - so good to hear from you! I was actually thinking of you the other day and wondering how your son was doing now.

I am so sorry he has this issue to deal with now.

I also had low wbc count for many months....went down to 2.5 I think? (and I also stopped abx for a few months to let them normalize.

Wishing your son has a speedy recovery and is back to his 95% baseline soon!

Hi Girlie!

Great to hear from you!
I know this is going to be a great year for you!

My son’s wbc count went down to 1.1 for a while-had trouble getting it up to 2.

I don’t know about 95% but just going to school and hanging out with friends is great. He’s trying to go to the gym. Just going to school can be very tiring for him. He was in bed at 7:45 today. But, when I think back to two years ago, he was bedridden, couldn’t walk, insomnia, migraines all day. Wow. So much to be grateful for. And thank you everyone for your support and advice.

Big hug.

Thank you for sharing your story!!

YOU SAID:

Which Doctor's Data test did you order/use?

I have wondering if I knocked back my yeast but also caused a bad bacteria overgrowth from my treatment. I have been suspicious of this.
It is definitely a challenge for sure!

I can relate to your post. Kid#2 was unable to go to school regularly for 2 years but is now in school regularly this year. He is better but not well. It has been SO hard!!!

I'm sorry your son has been suffering so much with this terrible disease.
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.

Okay - that is a low wbc count.

And yes, he is still doing much better than he was before treatment.
He'll get 'there' again...hard to be patient, though, I know.

Hi 1000Daisiessmile

The Doctors data test is called the microbiology profile. Our LLND said it wasn't really worth it to test for parasites because they so rarely show up. After looking at the website, it might be a good idea to get the comprehensive stool test because it would show how your gut is processing food.

There are a couple of sample reports there to look at. How do I put a link lol.
