I started babesia treatment back up last Friday after taking a month break for travel. Before that month break I had two months of treatment of Mepron and Zithromax.
Most my symptoms just get a lot worse when I am taking this combo like inability to concentrate or focus, weakness/fatigue, dizzyness, mood swings, night sweats.
BUT the strange thing is - my tingling/numbess in my face and eye twitching have increased. My foot pain in the morning has also kind of increased.
To me this sounds like bart symptoms are showing a lot more, but why? Because the bacteria load of babesia is getting knocked down and allowing bart to come out?
Or is this typical for a bebesia herx? I Just go back and forth on whether I am dealing with bartonella or babesia or both or neither(??).. these symptoms make it harder to tell. Sometimes I think that maybe I do have another issue like MS.. All lab testing that I have tried for babesia and bart have come back negative. (DNA Connexions and Labcorp)
After 2.5 months of treating babesia with mepron and zithromax I have seen absolutely no improvement in symptoms.
I think those symptoms could also be babesia. Babesia can affect the nerves as well. I know autonomic nervous system dysfunction can be caused by babs.
Take a look at this article on babesia;/suzycohen.com/articles/lyme_babesia_treatment/
My pulsatile tinnitus is gone now since treating Babesia. And it can be caused from ANS dysfunction.
2 1/2 months on babs treatment isn't long enough.
It took at least 6 months for my tinnitus to clear up on babs treatment.
