Hello everyone, I've been having a lot of stomach issues lately, mainly bloating and lots of gas (ugh). I can't tell if it's due to hormonal fluctuations (it's gotten bad for the last week and my cycle is due soon) or if it's candida or a Lyme/ co-infection symptom. I had also started BLT for Lyme and Bartonella (even though I didn't test positive for Bart) but I'm only up to 10 drops. I've had stomach issues in the past but then they seem to go away, but like so many symptoms things come and go, you never know what symptom is going to pop up next!! Any input would be great!

It can be from any of those 3. If it comes and goes, though, I would think it's less likely to be candida. I've had it come and go too, and I do have bart.

Hey there! Just wanted to say I’m sorry you’re struggling with this - GI symptoms have been some of the worst for me - the bloating can be so severe...abdominal distetion. Have you ever been tested for SIBO?

The bloating could be due to any of the pathogens! I personally think there’s a strong link between Bartonella and GI issues. The Lyme and cos can also cause SIBO which can exacerbate the GI symptoms...

You’re right, it is hard to figure out what triggers what.

I find the bloating and gas usually happen when I cheat and eat gluten.

I hope you find your connection.

Thanks for the input! My llmd suspects batt even though we tested 2 different times and babesia has always been positive but not Bart. I don't think I've tested for sibo before, I might look into it.

You could try and take 1-2 teaspoons of baking soda mixed with hot water when you wake up early in the mornings, it seems to help my stomach.

I bought this on ebay but any baking soda would be fine:
