This is my first post. I wanted to share my story and any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I will try and do the condensed version.
about a year and a half ago we got a cat that had fleas and this is where we believe we received the disease. When I say "we" I am referring to my wife and myself. I will let her share her story.

Initially all of the symptoms did seem to be worse for my wife and I would say that has continued to be true. After her seeing numerous doctors and much research we found an LLMD in Missouri. We live in Nebraska. We scheduled an appointment for my wife in March of 2017 for our first visit. We were initially infected in September of 2016.

After her visit we mentioned my symptoms and the doctor agreed to see me as well as he had an opening. We were with the doctor for over two hours and we feel very comfortable with him. We were both given many prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications as well as recommendations for supplements and other protocols to consider.

My most dominant symptoms were/are eyesight, brain fog, anxiety, pin pricking on skin, and a strange feeling on my left side. I have had chest tightness as well.

In the past year I have been to a neurologist (given muscle relaxers), physical therapy to include dry needling, oral surgeon twice, dentist, primary care doctor, chiropractor multiple times, eye doctor multiple times, EAP counselor for many sessions, cardiologist (all checked out well) as well as following up with our LLMD in October of 2017.

I have been on oral antibiotics for the last year. I should say I also have an underlying anxiety disorder, psoriasis, and am an alcoholic, although have been sober five years. I am currently just finishing Minocycline and Cipro.

I take Otezla for the psoriasis and Wellbutrin and Xanax for anxiety.

Supplements include Magnesium, Idoral, Tumeric, Shaklee vitamins, B12, CoQ10, DHEA and Vitamin D. Bloodwork is checked every four months.

I still get very strange symptoms in my chest, some skin feelings including movement on my feet at times, brain fog, anxiety, feel cold a lot and vision issues. Sleep is good. Fatigue is not an issue. Bowel movements have not been the same since all of this, but nothing bothering me.

I was tested with the Western Blot. One test was indeterminate and one test was negative, but with my symptoms and the bands I was positive for, the LLMD was pretty confident I had an infection of some type. We go back in April. So, that is the gist for me. Any feedback would be appreciated. Obviously my wife and I have done a lot of research. I really would like to approach this as holistically and naturally as possible. My faith in God has been huge in all of this. Thanks in advance!

Hi Rynos - welcome to our community.

you will see that I edited your post - I did this just to break it into smaller chunks. It is difficult to read when compacted into one big paragraph...especially for some of us who have neurolyme.

Sounds like your treatment is working...but you still have some symptoms left...and need to keep treating.

If you're interested in adding herbals to your protocol, we can help with that.
Many on here do Buhner's protocols. You can buy his book(s) and order the herbs online.

Here'a a few more herbal routes that members are doing:

Cowden
Byron White
Beyond Balance

So, you are still continuing to treat with the LLMD?

We encourage our new members to read through the information contained in the thread: "New to Lyme?..Start here!" It's packed full of useful information.

I hope you stick around...lots of knowledge and support on this forum..

Hi Rynos123,

It's great that you don't have problems with fatigue. Have you treated for co-infections like babesia or bartonella. Both of them can cause anxiety but not necessarily fatigue. The tests aren't always accurate, so your LLMD might treat based on symptoms (mine did).

I struggled with anxiety for a long time. It mostly is gone now, but I just can't figure out what made it go away.

I'm currently on some of Buhner's herbs plus a few other supplements. Antibiotics didn't work for me because I think tried them too late (8 years after I got sick). It seems like you just have to pay attention to how you feel and try to figure out what is working and what isn't, because it seems like something different works for everyone.

Welcome Rynos123,

We walk such a similar path. My family (two adults, two kids) got Lyme, babesia and bartonella from our dogs and horses. We have been suffering the same symptoms you describe...and more. We all have been in treatment since June 2017 with different protocols based on recommendations from our LLMD. We all have made different progress (no one is completely healed...yet).

As you suggest is true for you and your wife, my husbands symptoms have always been way less intense than mine. While he is able to continue on with regular daily activities, I am completely debilitated, physically and mentally. Nevertheless, I would like to share with you some things that have eased some of my symptoms, making this "waiting period" to wellness a bit more tolerable.

Remedies that have helped me include:

- Liposomal Glutathione, Oral - for blurry vision, brain fog and headache

- Herbals that include Glycine, L-Theanine, and or L-Tryptophan - for Anxiety (this symptom is a hard
one, and by far the most debilitating for me)

As far as the many other symptoms, I have noticed an ease overall after months and months of treatment with Byron White formulas (A-Bart and A-Bab) and Artemisinin, and detox with Chorella, coffee enemas and lemon water. I'm not far enough along in my progress to know for sure which is helping what, or if it is an overall effort, but I am seeing small improvements overall using these techniques.

Good luck to you, and I look forward to seeing some of your wifes posts on here...for some mutual discussion benefits.
Diagnosed with Borrelia, Babesia, Bartonella and Ehrlichia June 2017.
Symptoms since at least 2007.
Started treatment June 2017
-Artemisinin, A BART, A BAB, Biaxin, Chlorella, Liposomal Glutathione, Magnesium, Omnicef, Prothrivers Wellbrain, Tranquility, Uplift, Fish Oil, B Vitamins, Vitamin D, gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, lemon water, detox tea.
0%-5% Healed (depending on the day)
