Hello,

I don't understand what my results mean and what a weak positative results means. Could anyone help explain this to me please? Could the results be effected if you have a history of Epstein Barr virus? And do you know what the T cells CD3+ results means?

Borrelia Elispot
Borrelia b. Full Antigen = 1SI
Borrelia b. OSP-Mix = !2SI
Borelia burgdorferi LFA-1 = 1SI

0-1 = negative
1-2 = weak posative
>3 = posative

The results of the Elispot test indicates weak current cellular activities against Borrelia burgdorferi.

T Cells CD3+ (absolute) = 2654 /ul
Normal range = 900-1900

All other T cells results are within the 'normal ranges'

Many thanks in advance for your help

Amy

Hi Amy - welcome!

Just a quick note before I go to bed (it's past midnight here)

You have a weak positive - which is still a positive result. No, having a history of Epstein Barr wouldn't cause that.
I'm assuming you have symptoms that prompted you to test?
These test results will back up a clinical diagnosis .
I see your T cells are high - Im not sure what that means.

We can help you find a LLMD. Just start a new thread: "Looking for LLMD in/near_______" and fill in the blank.
Then enable your email option so members can send you names.
You can also email me and I will check my list and send you names if I have any.

In my opinion, a weak-positive or even a normal positive is not a conclusive diagnosis. I think a clinical diagnosis is imperative here.

I don't know what symptoms you have so the arminlabs results alone are not enough.

There is a thread on another forum that goes into scientific detail about these results.

Hello,

Thank you for so hfor quick responses! I was diagnosed with ME/CFS 2 years ago. I've only recently discovered that the symptoms are very similar to Lyme disease which is what prompted the test. I was bitten by something in 2007 on my leg which left a scar ever since. There's a white dot in the centre with a tiny red ring round it. It used to be raised but in the last couple of years it's gone flat. I don't know if that's linked at all to this or not though?

I would seek a LLMD - One if the many misdiagnoses of Lyme is CFS.
That plus your test results and the bite on your leg is more than enough for a Lyme diagnosis.
