So my llmd thinks I might have babesia. Throughout my 10 months of treatment I've never noticed any hallmark signs. As of late I've been getting night sweats and anxiety which feels different than Bart or lyme. And some other sxs that could be bartonella or babesia. I'm new to babesia and was wondering if I could get some insight on what's to come. I've been put on zithromax and mepron. He wants to see if i react to it. Also he ran pcr and antibody tests again for babesia. I have chest tightness but no air hunger really. Thanks guys

I would be sure to step up your detoxing, at least in my case when I have herxed from Babesia treatment I get an increase in head pressure, night sweats and brain fog.

I did have air hunger but I would say it was mild for me and maybe only ten times in the past year and a half.

Well I wish you the best of healing and take care, Jo

My head pressure has been horrible lately. But I thought it was lyme. It's sometimes only on one side. I have some activated charcoal and will up my detox game. Thanks for the advice.

I get the head pressure - behind my eyes and sweating - not just at night and in strange places - like my shins and the backs of my hands as well as my face and forehead.

I also get a doom and gloom coupled with a bit of anxiety when I wake up in the morning.

I haven’t been getting these symptoms as much or as intense since I treated Babs for over 7 months recently

I’m back on Babs treatment again so they may come back in full force . Sigh

Expect hell, to be frank. Then profound joy and a new lease on life when it finally clears.

Babs can be terrifying. I only want to emphasize that now so if it gets very bad for you, please come back to the forum for help and reassurance that this too shall pass. Talking through it has helped me tremendously.
Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella. Symptoms began 5/2016, didn't start treatment until 9/2016. Slow but steady recovery.

Thanks for your input guys. Figured it'd be really bad. Been through so much pain and mental anguish already and it's been worth it so far. Hopefully this is the key I need to move forward.

Please keep us up to date. I have been on mepron and zithromax for 2.5 months and not feeling well.

I have experienced increase in head pressure brain fog, dizzyness, air hunger, muscle pain, foot pain, tingling/twitching exhaustion and mood swings.

It's hard to tell if these are side effects or herx's or both. But I am sticking with it because I have heard around the 8-9 week mark a lot of people start seeing a breakthrough.

I might be a little behind after 10 weeks of treatment because after the first 8 weeks I had to stop for a month because of travel for work. So now I am 2 weeks back on.

Does any one know how long it takes for babesia to replicate? I know it is slow growing but not sure how slow.
Very sick starting around 07/2016
Started treatment 03/2017
Bixain & Cefdinir - 3 months - plateaued
Then Biaxin & Minocycline - 3 months - did not improve
Tinidazole - 500MG 2x a day - 2 weeks
Now taking:
Mepron 5mL 2x a day
Zithromax
Nystatin
Cats Claw - 30 drops 2x a day
Gou Teng - 30 drops 2x a day
CSA - 40 drops 2x a day
Japanese Knotweed - 40 drops 2x a day

Some folks notice a defined flare every 7 or 14 days.

I'll keep you updated for sure. I'm most nervous about air hunger. Which i haven't had as of yet. That alone is increasing my anxiety. I'm only on day 1 so not much is happening yet. Sorry your feeling so badly Nic. I'll be right there with you soon enough. Keep in touch and let me know how the combo is working. At least we know there are better days to come! We just have to keep positive thoughts. I imagine myself better and can't wait to be there.
