Hi everyone, I don't know what to do, I haven't felt this bad in a very long time! I woke up and I felt fine and then suddenly the switch happened: severe head pressure, especially in my ears, terribly sore neck, upper back, chills, shaky, dizzy, panicky feeling, twinges in my chest and having a hard time breathing (is this what air hunger feels like?). I saw my llmd on Thursday and he said that we are really making progress with Babesia (I guess my labs showed improvement) but he said we really need to keep the momentum going and he really wanted me to up the malarone and doxy. So I did yesterday, not by much though. I've also been on BLT up to 12 drops for the last couple weeks. Do you think this could be a Babesia herx? I've taken alka seltzer gold, chlorella, anti neuro tox, pinella/burbur, had an epsom salt bath as well, but nothing is making me feel better. At times I think my head is going to explode and my neck hasn't hurt so bad in a very long time. I'm just so, so tired of going through this! I'm trying to stay positive and hope it won't last too long but I just can't live like this!

It sounds like a herx. Can you back down on the meds and let your doctor know what happened?

I'm not familiar with BLT. What is it? Did you start or increase it recently?

I believe kudzu has helped my head symptoms.

Hi can you fit in a another binder at some point, it may help. You have probably killed off a lot of bacteria and as you know its just to much herxing for your body to deal with.

I would alternate different binders when you can , keep detoxing and definitely back off /reduce all meds like WalkingbyFaith suggested.

Hope this starts to level out soon for you, Take care, Jo

The BLT is by Researched Nutritionals - trying to remember what it has - Lomatium, red root, Black Walnut - and a few others' i can't remember.

How much malarone are you taking...and how much does your Dr.want you to increase?

Are you taking 1 pill twice daily?

I hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))

THanks so much! It helps so much getting support here! I have been taking 1 malarone 2x a day and I increased it to 2 in the am and one at night, I did increase first 1.5 and then yesterday did 2 in the am. My dr wants me to take 2 2x a day. The BLT is supposed to hit Lyme and BArt, I haven't gotten up too high just 12 drops one time a day. We were discussing at my appointment the difficulties I have with detoxing, I too have the MTHFR gene and I also have gallbladder sludge which my llmd wonders could be an issue as well as having a congested liver (according to muscle testing done by a chiropractor my llmd seems to really trust). I haven't felt this bad in so long, I've still been on my roller coaster but this is a horrid dip! It's so amazing how quickly one forgets how bad it can be and how scary it can be since I never know how long it will last! I didn't take any meds today and I've just been detoxing, will try to add in another binder. I was feeling fine this am and then suddenly it all switched and I feel like I'm been run over by many trucks!!

tonyaraven,

Since you mentioned congested liver and goshawk recommended adding a binder, you might want to try d-limonene. You could also use a castor oil liver pack or just rub castor oil on the liver area and leave it overnight or put a heating pad over it for 20 minutes. You'll need to wear an old t-shirt, as the oil is messy and will stain.

Astroman posted this about d-limonene in another thread:

Most I took was 1000mg gel x 2 a day, Jarrow brand i$ best. $10/60 gels.

Now 1 every other night for maintenance as it says in your body up to 48 hours.

You can go up to 10,000mg a day- you would burp orange all day though LOL.

It speeds up the liver. "Fatty" livers are slow. There are "slow" liver genes as well, I have some of these. LLMDs should know this but dont. Killing the bugs are hard on our livers. If you liver is slow from genes..good luck detoxing with popular methods.

Certain RX health drugs are dosed per liver speed so to speak - blood thinners ect.....not abx though.

I always go to drugs dot com to read interactions.

Citrus pectig, in powder and capsules is also similar, bit I have not used it.

Thanks WalkingbyFaith! I will look into the d-limonene...I haven't heard of it before. I do have castor oil so I think I'll rub some on and leave it over night. Thanks again!
