After being sick for six to seven months I eventually found an llmd. I have been on anitbiotics for about two and a half months now (bactrim 800-160 mg tab twice a day). After the first two weeks of treatment and herxing I began to feel better than a week or two after much worse, My LLMD in Nj then prescribed me a supplement called transfer factor Lyme plus from research nutritionals for my positive mono result. I have been constantly feeling worse
Symptoms:
Nerve pain
Lightheaded, head pressure, headaches, brain fog
Leg pain and weakness
Hand tremors and muscle spams
Pulsing
Chest pain and tightness, airhunger
Blurry vision
Anxiety/depression

I have been trying to incorporate new detox methods to help but none seem to calm down the pain
I have tried burbur pinella detox, alka seltzer gold, epsom salt baths, with no helpful results

most recently I've tried try fortify detox (main ingredient is glutathione) for a few days so far and haven't noticed anything, my llmd said it is the best supplement for detoxing

I really don't know how much longer I can tolerate everyday with all these symptoms, I have began to try acupuncture as another way to help with pain, does anyone have any methods that have helped them tolerate their pain during treatment? Im starting to think this pain will not go away

IMO, heavy herxing that does not respond to detox methods is a sign that you're killing bugs faster than your body can handle the debri. The only way out of it is usually to stop or reduce dosages. Talk to your doctor about taking a break or reducing dosages.

No one should be expected to "tolerate their pain." Herxing too much keeps your body in an abnormal state of inflammation, which can lead to problems in and of itself.

Good information from WalkingbyFaith, just want to suggest that you talk to your llmd about adding in some binders to help with your high debri load.

Activated charcoal, zeobind bio pure and there are others that may help.

Take care, Jo

D-Limonene will detox and support your liver usually better than other products, thats half the battle. That should help a little all over.

Do you have access to a sauna?

A whirlpool can help with body pain.

A fitness foam roller will get circulation going in legs, we need circulation.

my wife took the same transfer factor supplement and it did nothing.

bactrim while good to hit lyme, babesia and bartonella a bit typically isn't enough to clear it out. are you not on another abx because your LLMD said so? usually 2 are in play.

you may also be dealing with babesia symptoms and bactrim usually isn't enough you need a focused anti-malarial like mepron or malarone.

what are the initials of your LLMD in NJ?

In your "Glutathione herxing? How long will this last ?" post, I referenced Dr. Jernigan. Here's a book excerpt (from a different author) where Dr. Jernigan mentions his "Perfect-7 Treatment and Detoxification Protocol" that can be done at home. Perhaps something here will be helpful for you.

Also, if you look at my post (third from the bottom, as of this writing), you will find a link to Dr. Jay Davidson's audiobook "5 Steps to Restoring Health Protocol" that might also be helpful.

I just want to second goshawk, binders really help me with the hard hitting herxes. I do other things first but if they aren't cutting it then I take some activated charcoal and usually feel better within half an hour. It's definitely a life saver when I'm really feeling icky.

Your symptoms are like mine.
Two things- Lymph congestion, cellular energy & detox.
I added R-ALA, resveratrol, DIM, Glutathione, D-Ribose, along with some turmeric, crucifer extracts, milk thistle, coq10 to my daily standard set of a-Z vitamines and minerals and lipids. I use some homemade lymph drainage tricks, liver flush. Took a couple of weeks to get things moving.
