Hello to everyone. I am 22 years old male and it is possible i have chronic lyme all my life. The symptoms became severe when i was 15 years old where bartonella rashes were shown.

But here and almost 1,5 years i have been non functional. I took oral antibiotics, doxycicline and zithromax for 7 months (started 9 months ago). Yes, i became better but my sleep issues, memory, concetration, hormonological problems (testosterone) didnt improve as much.
After stopping them, with one week gap, i bought burbur-pinella and grapefruit seed extract. I tried them and the third day i became anhedonic to everything. These two years the only activity tha gave me life was playing guitar, even when lyme was at worst. Suddenly i woke up with emotional numbness, i tried to play guitar and i felt nothing. I stopped burbur-pinella and gse but it continued.
Have passed one month since that and even the smallest everyday activity doesnt give me joy or anything. Since, that happened after taking antibiotics and not before, do you think burbur and especially gse could cause something like that? Or lyme is it so powerful that even after one week without antibiotics, it could come back worse? I know the third scenario is me and not gse interaction neither lyme, but i want to exclude it at this moment

Hi Alexandros - welcome! I'm sorry you have developed the emotional 'numbness'.

Well, two things:

1) you stopped the antibiotics before you were in remission. This allowed the infection to continue growing.

2) You took a cyst buster (GSE) and it released a barrage of spirochetes into your bloodstream - without something to take care of those spirochetes.

Were you seeing a LLMD? And why was the decision made to stop treatment when you still had sleep issues, memory, concentration, hormonal symptoms?

Looks like you only treated lyme - as doxy and zithro aren't sufficient if you have bartonella and Babesia.

Unfortunately lyme rarely (if ever) travels alone.

If you don't have a LLMD, or you do, but he/she won't look into the coinfections and/or treating biofilms and cysts WHILE you're also treating the spirochetes...then we can help you find a different one.

Hello and thank for your answer.

I read that you have to take a lot of antibiotics combinations and that the long of each courses is about 6 months. So i did, i just wanted to do a break for one month, take some supplements and start with a different kind of antibiotics such as augmentin and rifampin along with zithro, which i am doing it. In the meantime i did some exams and i was found very low on folic acid, b12, d3 and homocysteine. I found that it could be related with gene mutations such as mthfr and low homocysteine with cbs mutation. So before taking heavy antibiotics like rifampin i want to to do the proper detoxing for ammonia.

While i agree that gse could break cyst and the released spirochetes cause symptoms, i read that gse is toxic and inhibits p450 enzymes. So i want to make sure that this is lyme itself.

Could you send me an e-mail with llmds in europe?

Thank you in advance
