Hello All,
Well its been a worse week than normal for me (and for others from the look of it…..so sorry) So Im writing today to get some advice or hear any good news from taking Bactrim ds.

Quick backstory – Sick since june 2015. Went through every test, scan, you name it….nothing!
2years and 3 months later I found a good center that diagosed me with babesia from Igenex. They are assumng I have Lyme also.(never did the lyme test cuz it was more money)

Did 3 months mepron/azith will little to no improvement then pusles artimisinin for 3 months with not much either. Now my PA wants me on Bactrim for a while and shell add another in 2 weeks possibly. The majority of my symtoms seem to be steming from my GI and I have crazy urination spells were I flare up and pee like every 20mins for a couple hours. Its weird! Sometimes clear sometimes cloudy sometimes burns and others not. Also my Bms have been weird but the seem to have straightened out as of the beginning of this year (the were very loose and were like forcefully coming out between 5-8am only)but my stomache is always feeling sick and making crazy noises constantly.

Now all that beeing said my wife is away for a whole week this week and that put my brain in a tizzy on top of these horrible flu feelings like im dying and my body is just not working. It doesnt let up! So I started the Bactrim yesterday and so far im tolerating it well but Im praying it does something for me.Any relief would be great!

Anybody have any positive experience with it maybe helping with bathroom issues (I know its good for that). I know its not exactly the ideal for Babesia but maybe still will knock it back a bit? Really trying to be postive here until I can see my LLPA in 2 weeks. Also was doing some herbals in there but after about 4 days they would always make me feel so fluish and sick.

Oh and randomly I had a spell at 3am 2 nights ago where I woke up so sick to my stomache I started sweating and my head started spinning so bad I jumped outta bed and my legs wouldnt work and I made it to the kitchen and dropped on the floor. I just layed there til my head cleared in a pool of sweat. It was wierd and super scary! All I did was take an advil an hour before. It was like my body wanting it out. Sounds stupid but its the only way I can describe it.(this was before starting the Bactrim)

Anyway thanks for listen’n guys! I dont know what Id do without this forum.

Sorry you’re having a rough time!

But I’m wondering why you were taken off Mepron after three months since you tested positive and it’s known you did have it?
3 months isn’t long enough to treat it. It can take longer than three months to see improvement.

You should also be on something with the Bactrim.

I’m wondering what Lyme Centre you are treating with- did another member here recommend it.. or did I pass on the information to you?

Thanks Girlie!

Ya I am gonna mention to her in 2 weeks if I should get back on the Mepron. This center seems to be up on the all the new protocols but it is funny how some of there treatment plans don't match to what I read
about. But I feel good with them so I don't question to much.

No I had learned about this place from a client. They have offices in Waltham ma and Plymouth ma.
Anybody interested shoot me an email.

It might all in my head but im on day 3 and notice small changes. acnes better. I also will wake up with horrible BO (never b4 in my life) and this morning next to nothing. Its gotta be killin some type of bacteria no? My morning depression has been a little bit better also possibly too.

Just looking for that positivety on a beautiful sunny sunday afternoon in New England
(And it looks as if the next storm is going to miss us.......yay!!!!)

Thanks for the reply Bluelyme.

Ya I was aware but like so many drugs side effects, you dont know til you try. If you dont have a sulfur allegy Bactrim is tolerated well by the majority. Sorry That happened to you. Did you notice anything positive before day 10?

I had read a while back on here that it helped someone with GI and Urinating issues which I have a lot of.

I guess we'll see If my LLPA keeps me on it. Would hate to think Im taking it for no reason. But so far no side effects. fingers crossed.

Rinzler - I just posted about the Bactrim (new thread)...as I'm not sure I'll be continuing with it.

Hoping it's not SJS, but I can't undo what I saw online now...so I'm thoroughly freaked out about it - since the lesion I have looks similar to ones in photos....(early stages)
