My upper jaw is excruciating. Been the third day like this. Any natural ideas for relief, pain meds aren't touching it.

Is it teeth or jaw?

Clove oil may help if it's teeth.

If it's jaw - maybe an ice pack?

If you suspect sinuses, I would recommend purchasing a saline nasal rinse, such as the following:

shop.neilmed.com/Products/Sinus-Rinse/Sinus-Rinse-Regular-Kit

You can find that specific kit at most pharmacies and stores like Target.

Have you had this sort of pain before? Have you recently had any dental work done? Do you suspect any dental issues?

If you have any bleeding and/or receding gums, I would suggest making sure you're eating plenty of foods rich in Vitamin C. The second-best option would be to take sufficient doses of a quality Vitamin C supplement.

I hope you find some relief soon.

Teeth or jaw can be difficult to figure out. My TMJ/jaw aches are from tight muscles that must pull down on the jaw nerves, which is not uncommon.

Went to a chiro- he really massaged jaw/side of head pretty aggressive. Watched TMJ self massage on U-tube so I can do this. Muscles from the neck, side of jaw and side of head all need massage.

It came back from weight lifting a little too much, not I can make it go away too.

No recent dental work or work needed. I just started cats claw and source naturals wellness blend. My jaw and sinuses are killing me. I'll get the rinse. That's a great idea

FyI if you think it is sinuses my LLPA just recommended Xlear nasal spray. Dont know if anyone has mentioned it. We got it at rite aid and love it. It is Xylitol based. A couple spays a couple times a day and my teeth and jaw pain chilled way out.

I always had sinus issues and used flonaise and others with no real relief. This has been working good.
Trying to stay Positive!

Sinus infections can definitely cause dental pain.

You should get checked by a biological dds. Many lyme docs suggest everyone gets checked by biological dds

If this pain started after you started these new treatments and you do/did not have a recent sinus infection (blowing pus out of your nose), then suspect a herx from these new items. I don't know what's in the wellness blend, but I do know that cat's claw can definitely increase joint and tendon issues.

Stop the cat's claw and see if the jaw pain goes away after a few days. If it goes away, then add the cat's claw back at a lower dosage and work up slowly. If even a tiny dose is too much, you may need to put it on the shelf and come back to it later. If you're not already taking Japanese knotweed, then start with that first.
