Does anyone get these? I’m 2 years into treatment. First antibiotics and now herbal only. This usually happens at night and I wake up from it. Subsides after walking around for 20 minute. Pains are all over the rib cage. Front. Back. And sides.

Hi Lym3Sux22 - welcome!

Ive had pain in my ribs, but not front and back...just the front.
Although my back locked up a few times around the rib cage area.

I know that Bartonella 'likes' the ribs...but I think lyme can cause those symptoms, too.

Are you seeing a LLMD?

Yes. I've also heard bartonella is associated with rib pain. I have bartonella and had rib pain pretty bad in 2015, when my symptoms were at the worst. Mine was tightness across the ribs that felt like a tight belt and I couldn't stand up straight for the discomfort. The pain would go around into my upper and middle back, too, and was miserable. Aleve did help some during that time, but be very aware of the possible dangers and your liver/kidney abilities if you consider using it.

I have a lot of rib cage pain. Typically it is right over my spleen and liver, but it is also often on my sides, my chest, and my back. If I press on my ribcage it is usually very tender. Sometimes it hurts to lay down.

So odd that you post this. I have similar pain this past week, but I think it's not quite like this thread though???

I had "nerve" like pain (so I think?) around the upper back and front chest area (I guess that would be ribs). I don't believe it's related to the heart. Feels like nerve pain. It would hurt worst when I would turn my head/shoulders. I don't understand this at all, and it appears to be going away.
I think it's related to back being out of line, but I'm not really fully sure.
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.

Have you considered costochondritis?

Just speculating, as I've had rib cage pain in the past (for me, it's almost like the edges of my rib cage putting pressure on organs from sitting too long, but seems inordinate for a lack of exercise that would cause this soreness if that makes sense.) As far as costochondritis, I'm guessing that maybe the bacteria like that rib area cartilage for food and housing, so our yummy rib cage being eaten by various bugs = pain as I have heard anaerobic tissue is a favored colonization and feeding point for these anaerobic (not requiring oxygen) bacteria.
