Hello, so I've recently found a llmd & she diagnosed me with 2 co infections. Bartonella, & babesia based on my symptoms alone. My blood work just came back and I need some help from you that know anything about this. I got the western blot I believe and some other stuff.

My c4a level was elevated & she made a side note saying it's either active Lyme disease or active exposure to mold. I'm certain I'm not around mold.

My western blot test came back 23 band positive and that was it. Everything else was negative or non responsive including the 2 co infections she believed I have. . Also she said some things showed inflammations. The abs Lymphs came back low, DHEA -Sulfate came back a little high, VEGF Came back borderline low.

I'm not sure what any of this means and I'm still unsure if I'm dealing with a tick illness. Been dealing with symptoms consistent with Lyme for almost 2 years now & like other Lymies I've been cleared with everything. Only little things with blood work that come back Abn like testestrone, vit D, high uric acid, & blood in urin.

Also; I have been on 2 antibiotics for 2 weeks now for the 2 co infections and have really noticed any herxng. Day 5 & 6 I noticed I had much more energy then usual but after those 2 days I've Felt like death like usual. . I noticed 1 night I felt very achy and had a very bad headache which may have been a herx. Not sure.

I would really appreciate all the replies I can get. This stuff is beyond complicating and there never seems to be a solid answer you can trust. I'm constantly doubting whether I have this or not but then there are times I feel strongly about it.

Band 23 is specific to lyme. That is enough to back up a clinical diagnosis.

Your LLMD - should know that testing negative on the coinfections doesn't mean anything....

For me - after 14 months of unexplained symptoms that were multi-systemic...and so many blood tests, scans, mri's, specialists....nothing else showing up...lyme made perfect sense.

Let it sink in for a bit. It's still a new diagnosis for you.
