I have been unsuccessful finding a good LLMD in Atlanta. I still do not have an official diagnoses. I have the IgeneX test below. I know Dr Horowitz is not accepting new patients. I am willing to travel to see the best Lyme doctor out there. I would love suggestions of who may be the very best that still takes new patients since Dr Horowitz does not.

I am trying to figure out if I have Lyme. Any thoughts on these results? Thanks in advance.

wpack3 - I edited your post to remove your email. We don't post them on the forum...but I see your email option is enabled so members can contact you.

Since you were willing to travel to see Dr. H...you might be interested in the clinic run by Dr. J.

He is in Washington,DC and you should be able to get in for an initial consult within 3-4 weeks.

...also for patients traveling a good distance, they offer some phone appointments so you don't travel each appt.
...and the appts are not monthly...generally 3-4 months apart.

If you want more info - Email me

You have band 31 positive - and it's 'almost' lyme specific. There are a few other 'things' that will cross-react...but it is still considered significant to LLMD's.

Your + bands on IgM 31 and 41 is considered IND, right? Did you have the epitope test done? It confirms that band 31 is indeed borrelia (or not).
If having a positive isn't a concern...then may be not worth the extra $105 for that test.
A positive epitope test changes your result from an IND to a Positive.

Thanks , I will email you for the info.

I did not have a epitope test. My doctor really did not have a very good grasp of Lyme and Lyme issues.
My main symptom has always been tight muscles/myofascial pain- in different parts of the body.

I am trying to figure out if there is enough on that blood test to suggest Lyme is likely and it is worth the journey to dig deeper. I know I don’t want to see another subpar Lyme dr who is just trying to sell thousands of dollars of supplements that no one has heard of.

Was that a recent test? If a positive is important to you - you can call Igenex and ask for the Epitope test to be done - I think it's $105 or maybe it's more now.

No matter what, band 31 is most likely lyme...it's included in the list of lyme significant list per Dr. Horowitz.
