Hello everyone,

New to the forums...hope you are all doing well with your treatments!

So I was just officially diagnosed with Lyme Disease due to a blood test from my PCP about a week ago. He has put me on 100mg doxy 2xday for 21 days.

I am currently on day 5 right now, but after reading so much information about Lyme and chronic Lyme, I am worried that the doxy is not going to be enough.

I feel like I have had Lyme disease for a much longer time than just recent considering I have had low energy, easily fatigued, brain fog/dizziness, etc for awhile now.

So I am looking to see if anyone knows any LLMDs in my area near Reading, PA that can help me through this?

Hi and welcome to our community pens66,

Im sorry that you have bee diagnosed with Lyme but its good that you have joined us here.

You are very correct that 100 mg will not be enough. It should be 200 mg 2x daily.

You can go to ilads.org to see the treatment guidelines.

It is wise to find an LLMD. Lyme rarely travels alone so you want to be sure about any co infections you may possibly have.

You can email me and I will check my list for llmds in Pa. or you can also do a physician search/request at ilads.org

However I don't have personal experience with them, so I'm hoping other members will chime in soon with some recommendations also.

For you to receive response from members you will have to enable your email in your profile.

We don't allow posting llmd's names on here , except for the famous ones.

We do encourage all new members to read our "New to Lyme "thread at the top of the page.

It has useful and important information on Lyme, detoxing, testing, symptoms and more.

If you ever decide to use herbal protocols, for treatments, there are many members here that are knowledgeable about that too.

Feel free to ask questions or reach out to us for support when needed.

Take care and I wish you the best of healing

I live in the Lehigh Valley (Bethlehem, PA) , there arent many LLMDs to speak of in eastern PA. I see Dr M in Exton, PA. you can email me if you want to hear more.

There are few in NJ, most of which seem have mixed reviews for one reason or another.
