It is very difficult for me to tell a herx reaction, vs the waxing/waning symptoms of exhaustion, shakiness, etc.

I ended a 3 week course of Zithromax & Mepron (my LLMD had me start this for Lyme, not Babesia), and I stopped it 2 days ago (pulse is 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off) and then was started on Albendazole.

Today I was exhausted, shaky, difficulty focusing, just very weak and tired.

Seems too soon for a relapse (too soon after stopping Zmax and Mepron) or could this be a herx from Albendazole (can a herx happen so quickly?) or is this just part of the waxing/waning symptoms of Lyme?

Anyone thoughts are appreciated.

Well your LLMD may have started you on zith and Mepron for Lyme, but Mepron treats Babesia whether or not he wants it to.

These symptoms could be from hitting Babesia
..or Lyme - ie herxing.

... and of course it is possibly from albenzadole.

Difficult to know really.

Also herxing can be at different times for all of us. Some people react right away others a few days, and still I have herxed a week after starting something. Some people dont herx.

I would continue to detox and use binders to help you with the herxing. Like Girlie said you probably hit some Babesia even though your llmd wasn't targeting it.

Unfortunately, this knowledge comes with time. Took me about a year to figure out what it was for me. For me, it's increased joint pain, more head pressure, louder tinnitus, dizziness, headaches, throat feeling full, eyes burning, feet burning...basically when anything gets worse. These days I flare really hard the three days of the full moon. Flaring right now.
