Hi,

I have learned a lot from the webinars and links you post.
I was wondering what antibiotics you are on, or have been on? If any. And which ones you recommend?

Thank you very much.

Hello, Rainy cloud:

Thank you for your kind words, regarding the webinars and links! Nice comments like yours make the effort worthwhile!

As for antibiotics, here's a cut-and-paste from a comment I made in another post:

"It's been since September 2013, since my most recent health issues started. A little more than a year later, in December 2014, I found the tick buried in my thigh. I sent the tick to LabCorp and it tested positive for Bb. Between what started in late 2013 (likely pneumonia or ?) and the tick bite, I've had five rounds of antibiotics.

September 2013:
First Cefdinir then Azithromycin, for the cold/flu/pneumonia/whatever I had for seven weeks. The fatigue and Tinnitus has never left.

End of December 2014 / Start of January 2015:
After the tick bite, 10 days of Doxycycline, a two-week break, then 15 more days of Doxycycline.

November 2015:
Another 10 days of Doxycycline, due to high Mycoplasma Pneumoniae IgM.

So, it's been 28 months, since I've had any antibiotics."

As for antibiotic recommendations, regrettably, I don't have the knowledge about what to suggest. Additionally, since each person is dealing with a different mix of system disruptors, other medications, supplements, allergies, etc., that would further complicate the ability to make blanket recommendations.

Truly, I'm sorry I can't offer anything helpful. If I could, I assure you, I would.

Here's a post that I wrote in May 2017 that you may find interesting:

There's a lot of great comments from the smart folks on this forum.

While I'm not as knowledgeable as most other folks on this forum, if you have any other questions, I'll do my best to help!

Sincerely,
The Dude

Thank you so much, this is all very helpful to me.

Do you mind me asking how long you were on Cefdinir for? And Azithromycin?

Are you treating it with herbs now?

Thank you again! Your help is appreciated.

Oh, nuts...I should have mentioned the length for Cefdinir and Azithromycin. My apologies.

I only had one round of each. It's been a while, but I think I was on Cefdinir for 10 days and Azithromycin for seven days. Or, perhaps it was the opposite. But, I wasn't on either for more than 10 days. There was about one or two weeks between them.

Again, this was about 15 months before I found the tick embedded in my leg.

In my previous post above, I mention the cold/flu/pneumonia/whatever that started in September 2013 and plagued me for seven straight weeks. I'd never been so sick. The cough actually kept returning, for over a year. It may not be completely gone, as I still have some coughing, from time-to-time. It's infrequent, thankfully.

Now, exactly a month before the cold/flu/pneumonia/whatever, in August 2013, is when my fatigue started. I was hiking with my girlfriend and noticed I felt a little more tired than usual. But, I was carrying a backpack and we were climbing a very steep trail to the top of a waterfall. So, I just attributed it to things like not enough rest the night before, maybe not drinking enough water, and probably just getting older.

At the top of the waterfall, we rested a while. As we started our return hike to the trailhead -- only an hour or so away -- I got more and more tired, over the course of about 20-30 minutes. I felt tired on a cellular level. By that point, I could only walk about 10 steps, before I had to rest for several minutes.

That, of course, frightened me, and, in turn, cause anxiety. I don't recall how long it took for us to return the rest of the way to the car, but it was a while. I went to the Emergency Room, once we got back to town, but they found nothing unusual. That started this odyssey of trying to figure-out what was happening.

Dude,

I just read that thread you linked above from your first post. Wow!!! I read all six pages of Parts 1 & 2. I learned more about the members of this forum from that one thread than anything else I've seen, and I've read a LOT of stuff on here. I still can't get over how deep and heartfelt and personal all those responses were. I'm going to save that so I can refer back to it.

You've been bringing out the best in folks since you arrived on the scene 😊

WalkingbyFaith,

I'm so glad those threads were helpful! I agree that our members (like you!) really pour their heart and soul into their posts and when helping others. This forum is a real blessing.

Also, thank you for the very generous compliment! I should also note that you joined three months after me, yet you have logged 250 more posts. So, in turn, all your contributions are greatly appreciated, too!

In all ways, I hope you're feeling better today!

Sincerely,
The Dude

This was such a great discussion! Thanks for re-sharing it The Dude, I know I'll be re-reading it slowly as think and rethink treatment options.
