Hi, If I miss a dose, should I take both doses at the next interval? For instance, if I miss lunch, should I take lunch and dinner together? Can they be mixed?

If I am expecting to be away from home all day, what is the best way to handle mixing and carrying the doses? Can I mix the lunch and dinner dose in one jar and take half the jar at each interval, or do I need to carry two 4 oz jars with each dose in it?

What do you guys do to handle these situations?

Thank you!

I assume you're talking about herbs here, so I'm responding based on that assumption.

I would not double up on doses if you miss one. That would very likely cause a herx. If you miss a dose and can still spread the doses out by about 3 hours, then you could try it.

You could mix 2 doses in one jar and take half at a time. Just make sure you shake it up really good before taking the first dose, so you get a more equitable distribution of herbs.

Hi there,
Are you taking something like Buhner's or Cowdens protocol with a bunch of tinctures?

There are a few options, if so. You can add all the tinctures in the right ratio to a dropper bottle (if you take 2 drops of each tincture, add 4 of each, or even more if you want it pre-mixed for more than two doses) and then you can dose it into whatever you have available at the time needed. You can do the same thing with any powders (but in a different jar).

Or you can do what you thought of (its what I typically do) and set up each dose in a 4oz jar and take it when needed.

I wouldn't double up -- if you are even somewhat sensitive that could cause some herxing or upset stomach. Taking half the jar is also plausible, but I wouldn't personally want to mess with trying to take only half.

Are you talking about herbals or abx? Because that's an important distinction for this question! smile

For herbals, I'll be in minority here and say that we'll skip the dose. I use to be really uptight about missing a dose, but I'm not any more. Life goes on, and it really had no impact on us whether we missed a dose here or there... so I stopped worrying about it personally. That's just me though. smile
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.

I'm pretty sure he's not talking about antibiotics - "....mixing and carrying doses...." doesn't really apply.
