I don't know if I'll ever understand why people would rather live with a diagnosis that is just a description of a cluster of symptoms rather than explore the possibility that it's an infection that might be curable (I sure hope it is!). No matter how crazy that makes me I'd rather live with hope than the certainty of decline.
