I finally got my Igenex test results back and waiting to see Lyme literate ND later this month.

My results are

IFA serum >80 positive

IGM - negative
31 +
41 Ind
83-93 Ind

IGG - positive
31 Ind
34 +
39 Ind
41 ++
83-93 +

My question is I am debating between abx or trying herbal first. I have symptoms but still functioning somewhat well but definitely take it easy and try not to overdue it throughout each day. My symptoms are low body temperature, cold hands and feet, slight ringing in ears, some fatigue, loss of weight and collagen, loss-of hair, pain in mouth/gums (I have no crowns bridges or root canals), numb feeling in front of right ear where I had surgery years ago, bottom of feet/heels hurt. I don’t have joint pain.

I am afraid to do abx as it might make everything worse plus I was diagnosed with high bilirubin/Gilbert’s disease which I think is from the lyme.

Right now I have just been taking vitamin d, c, and some zinc along with tumeric.

Just wondering thoughts of abx vs herbal?

I think it depends on how long you've been sick. If you've been sick for a long time I think antibiotics might make you feel worse- at least that's what happened to me.

It sounds like maybe the lyme is affecting your thyroid (cold hands and feet, low body temperature). Have you gotten your thyroid tested? Also if you are going to go the herbal route, I've found sida actua really helped with my cold hands and feet.

Maybe you could try herbs first - see how you feel after a few months- and you can always switch to abx.

I have had the diagnosis of Gilbert’s since high school based on high bilirubin.

Guess what? During Bart treatment they normalized - maybe I had Bart a long time.
