Hello everyone, I am at the very beginning of this journey. My 9 year old son was starting to walk crooked/funny and so after 12 hours in the ER we were told it's Lyme. He is on day 23 of 28 for antibiotics and as of last night he has a fever, neck pains, whole head pains, pain to the left of his chest, elbow/arm pain, upper thighs, knees and calves are all in pain.
I don't want to bring him back to his pediatrician as he will say it's just growing pains or body aches from the fever. He has said this before and I am having a mother instinct feeling about this that I need a specialist to take a closer look.
I am desperate to find someone... Please...
I live in Dutchess County NY but work in Stamford, CT... SO I WILL TRAVEL!!!!!
Thank you in advance for your help!

There is a very good, experienced Ped LLMD in New Haven, CT. Yes...but I heard he wasn't taking anymore patients as he was retiring. He's in his mid 80's now i believe.

i think it's worth a phone call PACHRIM.

Welcome to our community PACHRIM - I'm glad you found us here.

The J clinic in Washington DC also has Peds Practitioner now.
Is that close enough?

I know there are many LLMDs in NY state. I really don't know if any of them are good or if they take children. I went to one in Duchess county that I didn't have a good experience with.
