Just curious if you've tried it and for what reasons. What were your results?

Lots of people seem to take it. My sister takes it all the time. I'm just wondering about the lyme community as we seem to react different to just about everything.

I don't think I've seen anyone post on here about it.

I'll see if a search shows up.

FWIW - Health Canada recently issued an alert about using borax - for making detergent and slime etc., - there are risks with exposure.

"Health Canada has found that overexposure to boric acid has the potential to cause developmental and reproductive health effects. Since Canadians are already exposed to boric acid naturally through their diets and water, Health Canada is advising that exposure from other sources should be reduced as much as possible, especially for children and pregnant women. The concern is not with any one product, but rather multiple exposures from a variety of sources."

I used to make my own detergent but decided that I would go back to using a store bought natural one - partially because of the borax and partially because I found making the washing soda (I made my own) and mixing it hard to avoid inhalation. It seemed an unnecessary risk on top of all the other stuff I deal with.

I tried it and by the 3rd day my skin was dry and extra itchy. Wasnt using much maybe 1 or 2 grams tops if my memory serves. Some people with the Morgellons variation swear by it. I had fungal issues for certain but borax didnt seem to agree with me. But I can take boron supplements without issue.

I use a sprinkle every few days and it's a good energy boost. It supposedly helps your immune system if you take the right amount but it will suppress it somewhat if you take too much. I'm not sure what the right amount is but I've read about it and there is some controversy. A pinch every other day seems to be playing it safe to me although some people take a lot more everyday.
