I'm still trying to normalize knowing this might not completely happen ha ha. Trying to give up my winter AM coffee- not easy. My brain wont calmly wake up on its own till noon.

I need coffee to wake my thinking, combined with supplement calming stimulants, taurine, holy basil (anti-adrenal) to counter effect the shakes/edgy feel from caffeine. That the same way Red Bull works caffine + B vits combined with calming aminos (the term nootropics).

****Those near "normal" / healed- whats your morning routine today, how did it change. The "healed" leave here so fast when they could still help people, but they have a life to live to (again).

My Krebs cycle "input" naturally improved (lab tests), thus I cant add much choline like some do here, as it revs me up since my levels are already decent.

Proper sleep is everything. Lyme effects CNS, hormones (stress), pain and brain chemistry- all effect sleep.

My History: Did sleep study- I could not sleep for it LOL. I do know that I snore only on my back during times of sinus drainage- not true apnea at all. With differing degrees of lyme for decades, I very seldom slept a good eight hrs. When I did, the next night would mean near zero sleep. I mentioned this to the sleep Dr; reply- go to bed later when really tired, get less time in bed but more deep sleep. That worked to some extent, a good 5 hrs but needed a nap after work. Then I hit a phase of sleeping 9-11 hrs night, straight after stopping ABX, it was weird, no longer there though.

How I managed to do this for years while competing as an endurance athlete is that high adrenal output is needed and can overcome sleep deprivation in athletic performance- but the body pays for it later on. I took classes on how to activate and pace/control adrenal output for athletic use in the early 80's. Its self mind control but working on the opposite of calm meditation (which never worked for me).

I'm not healed - but I sleep quite well...and am rested in the morning.

I've always been a 'pro' sleeper.

I haven't changed anything...

It was bad for awhile after lyme hit...but has pretty much normalized now with treatment.

I do wake up early morning - but get back to sleep again.

I don't drink coffee...never have.

Lucky you. : )
Had initial lyme symptoms late 80's, then again and with bullseye early 90's. Ended ABX for Lyme in Jan 2016. Rebuilding / fine tuning / fixing muscles since then; member "10 Percenters Lyme Club". What an adventure this has been. Hashimotos adds to the enjoyment.

I think that some people are just that way.

Hubby - nope...never has slept well...still doesn't.

I have a rule when we're in a hotel together. When he's awake at 5:00 a.m...he's to quietly get dressed and leave the hotel and go for an early breakfast...or coffee...because I need my sleep...lol.
