Good question..
In December of 2015. I thought I was dying. I began to research symptoms and began considering lyme in January of 2016 and the Horowitz Questionnaire convinced me to take immediate right action: changed diet, used Buhner recommended herbs, followed advice here. Today I feel GREAT and although I have some remaining symptoms, my health is basically back.

Never let myself get too depressed from Lyme in the first place and I attribute much of that to ayahuasca and other relateds like psilocybin. Done it a few times since and I gotta say... I don't want to nilly willy recommend it because it can be a very mentally intense experience, but it is one of those things I'm always glad I did after words. Like brushing my teeth. I consider it self care and my only regret is not doing it more often.

Make sure you do some serious research before hand. Set/setting are so important. These are some of the most powerful medicines this world have to offer, but they don't mess around. You disrespect them they will leave you face first in the dirt

I use bourbon (3-5 ozs throughout the evening with la croix, no sugar) every 3 days or so. Yes, people say to avoid it but it seems to kill off some of the bugs and it's not such a mental adventure as shrooms. Supposedly thc kills a lot of bacteria as well but it can make you paranoid with headaches which some say is a herx symptom (I agree that it is a herx as these symptoms have dissipated as I get better). I would avoid beer and sugary drinks though.

That takes me back to a time when people I knew were picking the magic mushrooms in the fall - I lived in an area where they were plentiful.

Saw some people get really messed up on them.

I find it helpful, and had a background in altered states before I first took them. The psychedelic experience is intense enough that I wouldn't recommend them as antidepressants unless the user is very well prepared - the view from a mountaintop is nice, the fall is not.
