Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the help and support you all give. This is really the only thing I've ever been diagnosed with in my life and it's a little scary. My girlfriend has also been positively diagnosed with Lymes disease and EBV (I tested negative for EBV). Lymes might explain why I've always had severe and chronic insomia along restless and non-productive sleep for about 15 years. I also have had a clowdy head and lack of energy throughout most of my life.

We are seeing a naturopathic doctor and she suggests a product called tick recovery and a few other things I don't know. I can get a complete rundown when my girlfriend comes back from work. Should I try it and see if it will work before worrying about non-natural solutions? It's just that I saw on the sticky that the only treatment option discussed was antibiotics.

Here is what my test results were, any thoughts?

Hi starcraftjunkie - welcome!

In the New To Lyme sticky thread - there is a section that mentions alternatives to antibiotics - Buhner’s protocol, Cowden are a couple herbal treatments mentioned.

We have many members doing alternative treatments either instead of antibiotics or in addition to them.

Here is a short list:

- Buhner
- Cowden
- Byron White
- Beyond Balance

- HBOT
- Rife
- LDI
- Hyperthermia
- Stem Cells
- BVT

... and more

Looks like you had band 23 IgM + and 41 IgM +
That is positive and I believe CDC positive as well.
Looks like you have LD

Yep, those are the same bands I tested positive on and that is considered even CDC positive for Lyme. If you don't want to do the antibiotic route, you should look into the Buhner protocol. You can search this site for a ton of posts about that treatment and many others Girlie mentioned above. Everyone here is so very helpful!

I just actually found a Tick Recovery UPM-750 product on Amazon, and if that's the product she is talking about that may be helpful as it looks like it is basically monolaurin. Just make sure you detox as well as you may herx from it. I think you should start at a small dose and work your way up just to be safe...

I use a product called Tick Recovery by Samsara. Its an herbal extract powder blend. I started on antibiotics then started the Tick Recovery stuff after antibiotics knocked out most of my symptoms.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the responses and excuse me for a late reply. I had to get everything lined out to post back. Sorry for not checking the sticky thread. It's quite a long read so I really only dug a few pages in and didn't see much about herbal treatment, unless I'm just that blind.

The ND told us to take elderberry syrup for immune strength as well as olive leaf extract. Dr. Mercola fermented mushroom complex (we got it from amazon). The tick recovery is indeed the amazon stuff, Samsara brand. It has Knotweed, cats claw, Sida Acuta, Dokudami, and stevia and I don't believe anything else beyond that.

I'm going to research into some of the treatment processes. It's just unfortunate that these herbs cost so much when they all are added together! My girlfriend is trying to treat EBV and I feel bad she has to take at least 30 pills a day.

I like the Samsara stuff pretty well. I think it is good for me as a beginner, because it is easy to just order 1 item instead of figuring out each herb tincture vs powder etc. I did some of that too, but I seem to go back to the Samsara Tick Recovery because it is simple and seems to be cheaper than tincture. Not a big fan of the alcohol in tintures also.

It is a little expensive though and tastes like rotten trash mixed in spoiled tea. LOL

At the end of the day though I don't think I would have recovered so quickly if not for antibiotics. They were really good for me.
