Hello

I am currently seeing a functional medicine Dr in NYC (abx / banderol/ samento / biocdin / loads of gut support) but am feeling that I need someone with more detailed lyme knowledge.

I would love to know of any LLMDs in NYC that folks have had success with.

Many thanks !

Close to NYC in Westchester ...Dr. DC. Strictly abx, but he saved me and got rid of most of my debilitating symptoms. He believes in abx strictly, and to avoid processed sugar. I, on the other hand, had to restrict my diet much more than just that to see an improvement in symptoms. No carbs, no sugar (even fruit, except berries here and there) no caffeine, no alcohol, limited dairy. I know this sounds terrible, trust me I know! but I manage.

So, I recommend,

1. following a lyme diet.. like I explained ^ I'm sure you can also google or find a book on it.. and:
2. making an appt with him! Very nice man and he's an expert on this stuff. If abx don't work (they're not for everyone), I suggest looking into herbal supplements/ integrative methods. But that's down the road and I'm not familiar with any health centers in the NYC area that provide this. You'd have to do some more digging ... good luck to you! smile

thanks kml

I have been following a similar diet since the fall: no alcohol /caffeine / dairy / gluten or sugar. Didn't think I would ever be able to manage, but when you must, you must.

Thanks for the reco.
