2 quick questions

What is the core protocol and WHERE can you purchase the herbs? I get very confused by reading his website.

Thank you

A few of Buhners recommended sources:

- Tinctures: Woodland Essence; Sage Woman Herbs

- Capsules: Green Dragon Botanicals

- bulk - whole herbs, powder - 1st Chinese Herbs

I found an older post with the core protocol:

1. Protecting endothelial structures (pg 214) - Polygonum cuspidatum (Hu Zhang or Japanese Knotweed)

2. Cytokine remodulation (pg 214) - Salvia miltiorrhiza (Red Sage) and Scutellaria baicalensis (Skullcap or Huang Qin)

3. Collagen protection (pg 214) - Great lakes gelatin, Vit C, Selenium, etc

4. Immune remodulation (pg 215) - Unicaria tomentosa (Cat's Claw), Cordyceps mycelium (a mushroom), withania somnifera (ashwagandha), Eleutherococcus senticosus, Glycyrrhiza (licorice)

5. Antispirochetal (pg 215) - Andrographis

Which protocol are you looking for - Lyme or coinfections?

I gave you the Lyme basic protocol - often called the “core protocol”

You can start with that and slowly ramp up doses of herbs and then add herbs for the coinfections down the road.
Japanese knotweed is also in the Bartonella protocol.

Some Other herbs for Bart - houttuynia, Sida acuta... etc.

A good support herb is Hawthorne as Bart can affect the blood vessels/heart.
(Although Lyme and Babesia can too)

You should consider purchasing one or more of his books (if you can afford it) if you plan on solely treating herbally.

another helpful herb is Red Root - it's in the bart Basic Protocol.

Good for lymph nodes - Bart likes the lymph nodes.
