I am beginning the Buhner protocol. Can anyone give me info on how to start? Do I take all the recommended protocol at once with lowest doses and then work up, or do I start with just one supplement and then add more each week? I’m already taking cat’s claw and resveratrol.

Usually you start with one to see how you react, and then build up dose from there. Then add another and so on.. cordyceps is a good immune builder, other important ones are red sage and skullcap.
Andrographis is a killing herbal so .
you don't want to have intense or prolonged herxing,as it's not good for the body. You have to find a balance.
Make are to detox too.

Start with one herb at low dose - a few drops and then increase for a week or two (just a few drops increase each time) and you should be taking the herbs 3x day.

Then once your taking that herb 3x day at low dose - you can add in the second one - after a week or two add in the third... etc

Once you are taking them all at low dose then start to increase each one

Since the herbs work synergistically - it’s best to get them all in at low dose instead of increasing one herb for many weeks before adding the second one.. etc

Does anyone have a good source for Cordyceps mycelium - I can only find cordyceps senensis. Also I need to find a source for withania sommifera.

Plum Flower cordyceps is what Buhner recommends. You can get it from 1st Chinese Herbs. They have powder and capsules.

In at least one place, Buhner recommends Paradise Herbs brand withania (ashwaganda). I haven't used any tinctures of those herbs, only powder or capsules.

On the website, Paradise Herbs is the only source listed for ashwaganda. They only have capsules to my knowledge. His protocol gives dosage for tinctures. Woodland Essence is one of his recommended sources for many herbs. I'm pretty sure they have it in tincture form, if you prefer.

I (and my husband) did not do it the way Girlie suggests.

I did one herb and got to my max dosage of that herb and then added in the next herb.

My reasoning is this.... If you are upping all of your doses at the same time, how can you figure out which has tipped you over the line and given you the herx? You can't discern which herb is too much. So you have to decrease ALL of the herbs you are taking. Now, that just was not right for me.

For instance: Japanese Knotweed. I could have drank the entire bottle and not felt a thing. Hubby on the other hand could only tolerate 30 drops as his maximum dosage for that herb. For each herb there is a different maximum dosage for each individual.

If I were to increase all the herbs at the same time, how would I know which one I had maxed out on? And which one did I need more of?

I know, this is going to go against the grain of many and I apologize. But, there is more than one way to heal lyme.

I am not saying this is the ONLY way. This is how I did it (and hubby) and we healed.
