I tried niacin today by biting a 1/3 of a 500mg tablet, so I might have gotten 150mg. I definitely felt herxy, dull neck/head stiffness, fatigue, feeling a little bummed out.

I plan to add it to my protocol as i've come across several stories of people using it successfully once they get past the herx. Plus, it's really good for you in many ways.

It will make you flush the first few times but it's supposed to be pretty powerful stuff. Has anyone tried it before?

Yes, I tried it for my photosensitive rosacea for several weeks. My dermatologist suggested it. It made me flush so much more than I already was flushing, so I went off of it. It made my rosacea worse.

Apparently the flushing will go away when your body gets use to it. It's supposed to be great for white blood cells plus it kills a ton of bacteria. Some use as much as 4,000-6,000 mg per day although I don't plan to do that much. I'm just going to get up to 1,000 mg.

Yes, I tried it for kid#1 back in the day via an alternative medical practitioner. No, I don't feel it helped him. Having said that, most things did NOT help him, as he was extremely difficult to treat. So, don't let that discourage you!!
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.
