So I’ve had this low back pain radiating to legs for almost a week, i originally thought it was inflammation from a bad diet, but it could just be a pinched nerve, or herx

Any ideas on how to soothe? Feels better when I walk, but in the morning it’s horrible, I had an Epsom salt bath that provided a bit of relief.

I’m also worried... does this mean the herbs are not working? Is this likely lyme or bart

At what point does someone decide herbs aren’t enough?

How long have you been treating with herbs? And are you on lyme and bart Buhner's herbs?

Have you considered going to physiotherapy? A good physio can isolate which muscle(s) need to be stretched..., strengthened...etc.

I’ve been treating with herbs since around December, yes I’m taking sida and houttuynia for bart.

Haven’t been to a physio but its a good idea, will see how I get on the next few days otherwise will make an appt.

I might also try the cholestyramine that my doc prescribed, I haven’t used it yet, been a bit reluctant but if it’s a herx then it should help.

Go low and slow with the cholestyramine. I went too fast even though I started with 1/4 dose. I increased too much too fast. Made me horribly worse, and I stopped after 11 days.

If I could do it over again, I would start with 1/16 dose 4x day and not increase for at least a week and only if herxing had stopped.

Thanks WBF, my doc told me to take it twice a week for 12 weeks, I took the first dose today mixed with orange juice, didn’t feel anything not sure I should.

Let’s see, thanks for the heads up though

I've never heard of it being prescribed that way.

Shoemaker, the mold guru, uses it to bind biotoxins. I was instructed to work up to taking it 4x day (30 minutes before each meal and at bedtime.

It will bind to other meds and supplements, though, so it's hard for those treating infections to fit it in.

Still, I don't know what good only taking it twice a week would do.

What did your doc prescribe it for?

He said it was to help detoxing, I told him I had a few new symptoms since staring the babs/ bart herbs and he told me to increase detoxing and prescribed this?! And told me increase the frequency of Epsom baths and INfrared sauna.

Twice a week doesn’t sound like much if people are taking it 4 times a day!

I had this mostly right before I was diagnosed and it went away when I was on abx.
