I am going to start taking some the Neuro Antitox and Borrelogen that is the in the Jernigan protocol. I have also read about taking Molybdenum with it. Do you need to take it with the Neuro Antitox?

Just wondering if anyone has taken Molybdenum or knows anything about it?

I have not started anything as of yet and want to try more herbal first before abx.

Deejavu might know more about this?

Hi HaleyBugs07,

In the book, Dr. Jernigan says to take the Neuro-Antitox II formula the week before starting Borrelogen, and continue to take it with the Borrelogen. pg168

I'm chemically sensitive, so I will add Molybdenum 10-15 minutes before taking my remedies on Monday.

This is a quote from Dr. Jernigan's book, pg 133:
"Molybdenum is very useful for detoxifying the toxin aldehyde from the die-off of Candida-type yeast. This is important to lyme sufferers due to the fact that aldehydes are also considered neurotoxins, or nerve poisons...Taking molybdenum will help slow the degeneration of tissues and related symptoms from the toxic overload."

Appendix A is for people sensitive to alcohol. This is a quote from Appendix A: pg440

"No matter what, you must give the liver the trace mineral Molybdenum. Molybdenum is a necessary component for the liver enzymes that break down alcohol and its byproduct aldehyde...Molybdenum should be taken to manage the die-off toxins of bacteria and yeast no matter what anti-yeast medicine you take. As an added benefit, Molybdenum has been used for over 12 years to antidote the potential toxicity and allergic tendencies for virtually every type of pharmaceutical or natural medicine."

He said you can also take it for a headache.

His general recommendation is to take 1-3 capsules, 300 mcg per capsule, 1-3 times per day for 1 month to detoxify the alcohol and aldehyde if you're sensitive to alcohol or chemically sensitive. (pg442)

I've taken Molybdenum 3 or 4 times this past week, once for a headache. It seemed to help. Not much reaction with it, and I'm considered hypersensitive. I wasn't taking any remedies at the time I took it. Neuro-Antitox is relaxing to me. Those are the only 2 that I've taken, so far.

I'll begin Lymogen on Monday, probably a few drops to start, along with Neuro-Antitox, and about 15 minutes before taking those 2, I'll take the Molybdenum.

Thanks Gerdy

When I was on the Jernigan site to get the Neuro Antitox and Borrelogen they are out of stock of the Molybdenum. Do you take another brand by chance?

I wanted to start taking the Neuro Antitox first this weekend.

YW. I got the Molybdenum Chelated by Kal from either Sprouts or Natural Grocers.

Glad to hear your taking Neuro Antitox first.

We're starting this about the same time.

I just started taking Molybdenum as one of the first parts of treatment because I am so sick and sensitive. I only take 250mcg per day to start though. I had never heard of it before but as I've been on fluconazole for months and am still dealing with yeast it seems like a smart thing to do. The brand I was given was from Douglas Laboratories. It has a couple other ingredients that I'm not happy with like silica and magnesium stearate but my ND is great so I trust her recommendations. We are fighting this thing super slowly to keep me from jumping off a cliff!
