I got a copy of my Neuroquant MRI results today.

As well as I can interpret the reports without a doctor, it appears to be mold instead of Lyme.

Considering my very slow orogress with herbal treatment and my recent spike in TGFB-1, I am not surprised.

But I am feeling pretty hopeless. Lyme seems easier to treat than mold illness.

My dad is dying and could go anytime. My mom talked today like she will sell the house/propert instead of remediating. I'm so scared. I can't imagine any house here that we could afford not being moldy.

I know some people practice extreme mold avoidance, but I can't live like that.

I feel so hopeless.

Has anyone recovered from mold illness using Shoemaker's protocol or any other method?

I'm assuming no one here has, or they wouldn't still be on the forum.

There has to be a way to recover without hiding out in a safe environment and never going in public places or other people's homes for fear of mold exposure.

WBF - people do recover from mold illness - and they may be still on here because they’re now treating Lyme and co.

FYI - I doubt that the mri rules out bart/Babs/Lyme.

I don’t believe that it’s that difficult to detox from mold.

Not sure where you live - but if it’s warm there for the next 4-5 months buy a new tent and pitch it in the yard if your home is moldy.

Then can you treat one room in the house that could be your mold free zone?

And also do the mold treatment protocol. I think treating it will lessen the load so you can get on top of it.

People who have a mold free home are still exposed to mold. I don’t think you can escape it completely.

I know you’re feeling defeated - but I do think you can do this.

I’m so sorry WBF. So very sorry about your father. Maybe selling will be a blessing and a new place will be safer?

As you know, my neuroquant indicated mold over lyme. Either way, I’ve done lots of abx & herbs. I started VIP spray today. Expensive stuff but I really need to see if it helps. Is your doc familiar with Shoemaker?

What are your main symptoms? Lots of people recover from mold. It’s good to know your enemy.

Like Girlie said, I think you can do this.

Hi WalkingbyFaith,

I am sorry to hear about your father my heart goes out to you and your family. Lots to deal with right now when you are feeling ill. I wish you all peace and understanding while you go through this.

I would look at Chicken arises older posts about mold, I know his family had mold issues and he wrote a good post on getting rid of it.

Maybe there is something in his posts that can help he also has a blog.

Take care and we are here for you always, Jo

I am so sorry to hear about your father and all the uncertainty and stress you are going through right now.

I hope, once you decide how to proceed with treatment for the mold sensitivities, that you will finally be able to move towards healing.

Wishing you and your family strength going forward.
