I go between both extremes, sometimes within minutes. I am finding it difficult to figure out how much to eat. For the first time in my life I have actually gained weight & actually have a gut & need to get rid of some clothing, after having lost quite a bit of weight in a short period of time a few years ago. What is going on? I'm healing from lyme, bart, & mycoplasma, maybe others.

I have the same problem. I kept having to get rid of clothes that don't fit anymore. I lost weight... and now it seems like I keep gaining weight. I keep wanting to eat the same amount of food I was eating for a while-I think my metabolism used to be higher.

I just don't want to keep on gaining weight.

One thing that is going on is I think I move around less now. For a while I was having really bad hyperactivity and inability to focus, and I just couldn't sit still, but I don't think that's the only thing causing it.

I understand. My physical activity is the same amount it has been for years but now I am, within the last 9 months, gaining weight. I don't want to gain any more! I want to lose a little bit actually.

I have the same issue. Insatiable hunger and weight gain. I was a personal trainer and 6.5% body fat and after the encephalitis, jumped to 24%

I'm finding heavy detoxing (IR saunas, epsom salt baths, liver flushes) and eating a low histamine diet are helping to drop the weight. Weight gain means inflammation so it makes sense that if we negate the inflammatory compounds (toxins, histamines, food allergies) we should drop some weight. The problem is that one small misstep and it comes right back. It's tough

I’ve found the same thing, before lyme I usually had no trouble losing any weight I put on (and it usually took a lot of bad eating to put it on). While I was undiagnosed and untreated I put on 30 lbs that I couldn’t seem to lose. I thought it must be thyroid troubles as I was always cold. As soon as I started treating I rapidly lost 25 lbs part of which I think might have been due to the adaoptogenic herbs leveling out some things that were out of whack. Now I’ve gained a few back when I wasn’t being careful about eating well. I think these infections really mess with all the hormones.

For me I find a combination of nausea that has come and gone and trying to focus on a healthy diet has mostly spoiled my interest in food. It’s just one more therapeutic thing I have to do now lol.

OK, so this is not unusual. I was thinking I need to step up my detoxing, so that was confirmation. There is a TTapp exercise I do on the floor called Putting Organs in Place & when I do the right side of my abdominal cavity it feels fuller, like the liver is congested. Guess I need to do even more to support my liver.
