HI everyone,

I was hoping some of you may have some ideas as to what may be causing this new symptom and or have experienced something similar. A few weeks ago I decided to cut my amoxicillin in half. In retrospect it was a bad idea. After about a week I started to get painful burning on various parts of my body along with a Nast unrelenting headache. So I decided to increase my amoxicillin to the usual dose but this did nothing. I ended up doubling my typical dose and still have the burning but the headache certainly better. Prior to cutting back on the amoxicillin I was lifting weights 5 days a week. I attempted to lift again this evening and my throat and chest feel swollen, almost like the skin is being stretched apart. It also feels like a weight on my throat and chest.

All I can think of is that lifting weights somehow angers and or allows the bacteria to travel? This is the second time it happens. So at the moment I am icing my throat and chest and took some quercetin with bromelain in an attempt to decrease my inflammation. It seems to me that many of my symptoms are due to inflammation. I am wondering if any of you have had similar experiences and or have any theories. I also would love to hear about any anti inflammatories that you find helpful. In addition to the quercetin bromelain, I also take ld naltrexone and have incorporated curcumin. All thoughts and ideas are welcome and thank you.

Nope I got this too it is Bart, u probably beat back the Lyme and now Bart is taking over, treat candida and do raw garlic YouTube it, it works for me no more chest and neck issues. That chest crap was terrible I thought I broke the center of my ribs somehow. Even hurt to swallow til the garlic it worked fast too I do two bulbs twice a day kefir and garlic kills the candida great you will be sick for a day or two though.

Thanks for the reply. It's good to know I am not the only one that has/is experiencing these symptoms. I will give the raw garlic a try and see how I respond. So are you thinking it's the candida that is causing the symptoms or it's just Bart coming out to play? The strange thing is that it has happened only twice and it's been while lifting weights. It really makes me wonder if getting more blood to certain muscle groups allows the bacteria or attracts the bacteria to areas that have more blood flow? That's the only thing that I can think of which makes sense.

I think it is Bart and your taking Amos so candida probably exist, garlic will kill it but combined with kefir it is potent and kills it fast. Garlic will make you feel great after the second dose is how it did me. But every third day I herxing a lot then two days good then herxing lol but seeing progress in lighter herxes but I think I had bad candida. I got Bart and it has been 7 yrs no treatment. So herxing is bad with Bart if you kill too fast. So back off as needed. Let me know how the garlic works for you after a few days of it. Your breathe will smell for about an hr after but goes away

Never heard of swallowing raw garlic, very interesting. Do you just use it for candida or what else does it help you with?

I don't know if this will help you but sometimes less is better. I quit taking prescription meds a long time ago because of the downsides.

I've eaten fresh garlic as a medicine but it caused me to herx. So, now I eat a clove finely chopped mixed in with other food, like salad.

This week on Monday, I began herbal treatment. The one I take is Lymogen, when Bartonella is a concern. I have Bartonella (along with co infections and lyme and other stuff). It's designed to treat all of this stuff even if you don't have all of it.

The only other thing I take about 15 minutes before the Lymogen is specifically designed to ease or eliminate symptoms, Neuro Antitox II. (Most people don't take molybdenum but I'm hypersensitive and chemically sensitive so I take it 10 minutes before the other 2 as an added precaution.)

I haven't had any herx reaction at all. My condition, symptoms, have greatly improved on the very 1st day and each day this week. My energy levels are great, too.

Weight lifting can be pro-inflammatory, try using less weight and lower the intensity of your workouts.

acarined,

Thank you very much for the link. I read the article and it now makes sense. I did not realize that lifting was pro-inflammatory. I find it strange that I have been lifting hard for the last 6 months and the numbness/tightness has only happened the last two times I have lifted. As I mentioned, I made the mistake of decreasing the amoxicillin and unfortunately have not been able to settle my symptoms as I had before prior to the decrease. I guess its time to go back to the drawing board again.

Gerdy,

Thank you for the insight on the Lymogen and Neuro Antitox II. I have heard of this but have never experienced taking it so maybe this is something that could potentially bring me some relief. I am glad to hear that your body is responding so well to this protocol.

Donjr,

Its kind of ironic that you mention garlic as a form of treatment as last summer I grew more than 40lbs of it. I eat garlic everyday with my huge salad. You know you have it right when your coworkers down the hall come into your office and ask what smells so good. Two winters ago I was doing what you are doing, cutting up/mincing the garlic and swallowing cloves on a daily basis. For some reason I stopped doing this but I feel like it is worth upping my intake of the garlic if it means that it will possible help with reducing systemic inflammation.
