I did Rifampin and Bactrim, but not together.
They are both bartonella treatment and together they pack a punch IMO.

I did rifampin with minocycline and then with biaxin...then back to minocycline.

yes that is a bartonella treatment.

effective bart treatments can include a combination like following
- rifampin with mino
- rifampin with bactrim
- rifampin with zithromax
www.treatlyme.net/treat-lyme-book/kills-bartonella-a-brief-guide/

other bart treatments are with fluoroquinolones
- rifampin with cipro
- rifampin with levofloxacin
- cipro with mino
- cipro with doxy

in all treatments above u can susbstitute rifampin with rifabutin which is stronger bc longer halflife

etc....
never treat bart with one antibiotic, it is not effective and may get your bart resistant to it.

sometimes 3 antibiotics need to be combined like mino, rifampin, zithromax , this is pretty good combo. i've been on it for 8 months.

Do you guys think that buhners protocol is effective? That's what I originally planned to do but heard that it really isn't first line treatment.

Buhners protocols have been effective for some people - not all.
And others have failed abx treatment and found herbals to be effective.

It’s a personal decision.

Exception: For Acute Lyme - I would recommend antibiotics - it’s not long term (generally) and it’s known to be effective.
