Since December 2017, I have been experiencing extreme lightheadedness. By this I mean I feel faint. I just woke up one morning and started feeling this way every single day for 6 months. I have not actually passed out but I have gotten so close to it many times. My vision will go completely black but I won’t lose conscience. Because of this, I have an internal vibration all through my body, I see waves and stars in my vision, have terrible ringing in the ears, and can only walk at a very slow speed otherwise I’ll feel like I’ll pass out. I can’t do any daily activities or go anywhere as the feeling never goes away. The heat makes it 10 times worse. I’ve been to so many doctors and ER visits. I’ve found that I had low vitamin D, B12, and iron. I altered my diet 3 different ways, only drink water and electrolyte drinks, don’t drink caffeine or alcohol. All of my numbers are now in the optimal ranges and I still feel like absolute garbage. I’m now wondering if this could be a Lyme issue. I was tested in March and only tested positive for band 58. At that time I didn’t know much about Lyme or do infections and pushed it to the side as the doc told me I needed to have five positive to be considered. Now that it’s months later, I’m aware that tests are not always accurate and I should go through Igenex. I’m willing to get tested again. However, I’ve talked to so many people with Lyme and can’t find a single person that dealt with the same issue. I understand everyone is different. sad I have no pain, no fevers or chills. I don’t catch infections easily. Is there anyone out there that can relate or offer advice. Please. I’m desperate and just want my life back.

For months I could not take a warm shower. It made me dizzy and faint. Heat really affected me. I could go to the lake but I spent a lot of time in the cold lake water.

I ended up taking cool showers and we went to the lake 4-5 times a week in the summer just because it was what made me feel good.

I had horrible head pain or headaches and this cold water on my head eliminated those also.

All I could come up with was that I was inflamed and heat was making it worse and causing more symptoms.

Lyme (or babesia) made me feel like fainting for months -- I walked places very slowly and was afraid to cross streets. I had symptoms of POTS (check that out of you haven't already). I also have internal vibrations. I definitely suggest finding a good LLMD and maybe a cardiologist who knows about Lyme and POTS. I have improved a lot with treatment and I hope you do too!

Thank you. Yes my symptoms mimic POTS. I definitely think there is something more. I have an appointment Monday to get tested for Lyme and co infections.

Great! By the way, maybe you know, but POTS can be caused by Lyme and can go away with treatment.
