Hi guys i suffer lyme and bart witch i get in check somehow. But wonder abaout my white coating on tounge since 1 year. if try all candida programs diets probiotics antifungal even RX. its seems not be candida. i dont have any GI problems. just white coated tounge like the tounge is under pink but on the top is coated some white . its more on the corners of the tounge , outside not in central or back.

My naturopath told me that it could be deep bacterial infection in the liver like bart or lyme. and it will not go away until i heal completly my Lyme

it can be lyme ?

Hi! You said it "seems" to not be candida. But do you know for sure? Did you ask them to culture the yeast? Since you have visible coating, they can take a swab of the "white stuff" and send to lab to analyze what type of yeast it is (if it is a yeast). Then you will know for sure. I suggest asking for that test. Then you will know for sure what it is. (Also, you can ask for a sensitivity test too which should show you which medications would be most effective for it.)
Good luck!

Have you taken a liquid antifungal? Some antifungals aren't absorbed into the body so if you take the pill form they won't really get anything on your tongue. I take liquid Nystatin and it keeps the thrush away for the most part. I recommend giving it a try. It tastes awful but apart from that there's no downside to taking it. Worst case scenario you get rid of some fungus you didn't want in you anyway.

It sounds like yeast or a fungal infection. I have it too, but only when I eat something kinda sweet. Candida is REALLY REALLY REALLY hard to get rid of it. Almost as bad as Lyme. It requires more than pills. It's systemic. It's not just on your tongue. I took a run of Sporanox and that helped more than Nystatin, but I still have issues. You say you don't have digestive issues, but you must. Bloating? Gas? Constipation? Diarrhea? What do you consider digestive issues? Candida is also an umbrella term for fungus and there are many different types. Best to get it tested by someone who can run more than one test.

What test? Did they take a swab to it and culture it? It has to be "something", so if they cultured it, shouldn't they be able to identify that pathogen?

Or are you referring to a blood test? (which may or may not be reliable) I know I said this before, but I'd get it cultured.

FWIW - with my chronic systemic yeast infection, I did not have any GI related symptoms. Not all yeast imbalances causes GI symptoms (gas/bloating)...

Would you share what your symptoms were?

I don't think I have a systemic yeast infection... but I do take Diflucan two days per cycle...for prophylactic measures.

I also did not really have GI related symptoms when I had my white tongue, which was candida.

Hi Girlie. Sorry I missed this!

In regards to treating my systemic yeast infection, the symptoms that improved for me were kidney pain (and sickness from it), headaches, and migraines (mostly menstrual migraines). I was quite surprised to learn that they were all related to my yeast problems, as those are not commonly known as yeast type symptoms!
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.

I always struggle with yeast/candida - even to this day. The only think that keeps my mouth not white coated is if I don't eat sugar (not going to happen) OR I compensate and eat a raw clove of garlic a few days a week. For some reason even though I don't have a strong stomach-my gut loves garlic.

There is also a good mouthwash called Biotene that works pretty well but its expensive.
