I know that a lot of people that heal from lyme see a lot of symptoms reverse and completely go away. Is bell's palsy able to completely go away? I have had it now for a year and a half. It's mild, most people don't notice it I guess. But anyone who deals with this knows how awful it is. So anyway, I guess I'm just looking for some hope that it may go away one day.

I have tried buhner but only really stayed consistent with it for up to 2 months at a time because I run out of stuff and can't get more yet. I do feel a herx when I do buhner, but also start to lose hope sometimes. Many of my symptoms are neuro.

The hopeless feeling is part if the herx. Stick with it. Also look into monolaurin. I also use a oregano oil and occasionally a pinch of borax (this on is controversial). Msm cinnamon, olive leaf, etc... I only used knottweed and cats claw from buhner and it didn't really clear me up. I highly recommend the monolaurin

I struggle with it as well, but it is transient (comes and goes) Horribly frustrating though as it comes on without warning and is normally accompanied by a migraine (though not always). I have Bartonella and so far nothing else has been found. Are you treating for Bart as well or have you ruled that out?

If I had to guess I would say that I do most likely have bart. I've been taking cat's claw and andrographis. Sometimes I have japanese knotweed, sometimes not. I occasionally use sweet wormwood. I need a more consistent regimen of things that I know work well with each other and do not interact with each other. I haven't tried monolaurin. Can I just consume coconut oil for that?

I do have some olive leaf. There were reports that olive leaf may lower blood pressure, of which I already sometimes suffer from so I wanted to be careful with that. I don't know, I try to research the things I take and possible side effects. I haven't been taking the olive leaf lately.

Monolaurin is more potent because it's almost all lauric acid. You have to eat a lot of coconut oil to equal the same amount of monolaurin although I switch back and forth sometimes. You can also use coconut milk the thick kind in a can I think, although I haven't tried it yet.

One of my friends got Bell's palsy from Rocky Mountain spotted fever from tick bite and he said acupuncture is the best remedy he's found. He had a pretty severe case of it and now you can hardly see it.

He also uses apple cider vinegar as well. It's a great antibacterial. I use acv as well but I use pill form due to heart burn

Yeah it's impossible for me to swallow apple cider vinegar in liquid form. It immediately causes tooth sensitivity. I know that ACV is a broad spectrum home remedy for so many things, so it does suck to not be able to use it.

I could possibly do acupuncture although it would be an out of pocket cost.

I use a straw and put it in the back of my throat to miss the teeth but I rarely use the liquid anymore, the pills are much easier. 1 pill equals about 1 teaspoon of vinegar

I fully agree about monolaurin, I take the lauricidin pellets it is the original no additives and man it works I fully believe it saved my life so far, I am only up to 26 pellets so Fay started at one, all the bugs ran to my head to escape so I felt heavy headed and brain fog and jittery last two day so this am after the lauricidin I took one doxy 100mg and wow all my brain fog almost left in about two hrs after. Started getting a headache tonight so I did a sauna and man I feel good right now, hope it last lol. Got monolaurin go to pubmed read the study Chinese skullcap and monolaurin/lauricidin killed lyme all forms better than any antibiotic or other herbs. So I think taking a abx once in awhile with it may just be the answer.

I saw that the side effects and interactions with monolaurin are unknown at this time. I did try to look up some studies on monolaurin and borrelia but I'm having trouble reading tonight. I'm considering buying it. I would like to know more information or hear more people's experiences with it both good and bad.

I thoroughly researched it and the only thing I could find was one paper that Said it suppresses your immune system. The paper was written by a guy getting his phd. Upon further research I found another paper by the same guy saying that a protein call albumin which is plentiful in blood, counteracts this effect. Again this guy was a student.

I herxed for 2 months or so which was proof to me that it works. I finally got through the worst symptoms and felt so much better and it has continued. It was certainly not simply masking the systems like steroids do.

Nothing has worked for me as well as monolaurin.

Most people regain full function in their face after bells palsey, Unfortunately some do not.

I found out I had this condition after a week of terrible headaches. when I woke up and could not hold a drink of water in my mouth. I was confused, my head was so swollen I could not put a hat on. Brain encephalitis.

Most of my mobility function returned back in a week. But after a few years I developed extaordinary pain in my cranial nerves of my head and face in the location I had the headaches. The nerves in my cheek were visually twitching and so painful. I would always describe it as if ‘I had a hot slug being pushed through my face.’

I recently experienced much less symptom since, alkalyzing, eliminating all inflammatory foods, doing a month long parasite cleanse with large amounts of black walnut, wormwood, and clove. Also cleaning my ears and nasal cavity with salt and vinegar solutionZ

Thank you. I most definitely will consider adding it in.

Thank you. That gives me hope that it can improve with treatment. Still no report in this thread of anyone who had bell's palsy long term, was treated naturally, and went back to normal fully which is kinda what I had hoped would be possible.
