25-30 years for sure , and maybe another 10 before that as a teen and child. Did not treat or get lyme Dx till 4 yrs ago. Was trying to control individual symptoms before that, which didnt do much after a while.
For some, "time sick" can be a very difficult question to answer, ......when were talking decades and varying degrees of "sick" - not to mention multiple issues that look separate to conventional medicine but can and most likely are related.
Many out there have not been "optimally well" for a long time but continue to function through ups and downs. "ill" does not always bedridden for many, though there may have been times like that.
I fall into the category I just described. I no longer consider myself ill, but I'm certainly not optimally well either.
This only forced couching on me for about
a year at its worse point, and I tried my best not to cave into this.
I learned to adapt and adapted well in some cases (no choice), since its been part of my life for so long.
As my signature implies I feel 90% "well" many days now.
Had initial lyme symptoms late 80's, then again and with bullseye early 90's. Ended ABX for Lyme in Jan 2016. Flares ended after. Rebuilding / fine tuning / fixing muscles since then; member "10 Percenters Lyme Club". What an adventure this has been. Twenty years of Hashimoto adds to the enjoyment.
