Does dysautonomia affect bowel movements or cause constipation?
Yes it can
The autonomic nervous system (ANS) controls several basic functions, including:
heart rate, body temp, breathing rate, digestion, sweating, sensations, urination, bowel movements.. etc
You don’t have to think about
them - they function on their own.
The ANS also includes the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
I’ve always attributed my POTS to ANS dysfunction but maybe my sweating is also part of the package.
