My Lyme dr just tested for Lyme through IGenix and these are the results:
iGX spot test = negative.
Lyme ImmunoBlot IgG = 39 Ind, 41+, 58+.
Lyme ImmunoBlot IgM = 23+, 31+, 41 Ind.

I don't understand why the spot test is negative if I have positive bands? My dr said he still considers this Lyme and wants to start me on antibiotics. I'm not wanting to necessarily question him, I just don't understand the results and he was running late and didn't have enough time to explain 😬

Anyone have any insight? Do these results indeed show Lyme?

I can't comment on the IGX spot test - not read enough about it.

But:

Lyme ImmunoBlot IgM = 23+, 31+, 41 Ind.

That indicates active lyme for sure.

Did it not say Positive anywhere on your results?

I do see now that the IgM says positive! Sometimes just too much info to process! Thank you Girlie. Dr is starting me out on Ceftin or Cefuroxime?

Ceftin is a good antibiotic for lyme.

After some weeks on the Ceftin alone, I anticipate your Dr. will add in a second one - maybe minocycline...or axithromycin...or Bactrim...maybe even Rifampin.

Let us know how you do on it.
