I was floxed on two doses of Levaquin in 2008. No tendon pain but it affected my cans. Pure h*ll for 3 years.

Thank you Girlie. I'm taking a lot of ubiquinol and another q10 called myQ10 and 700/800 mg of magnesium.

I don't know if taking NSAID can reduce inflamation.

Vitamin C was mentioned too.

Are you taking magnesium twice a day?

No, OriolCarol, I am not healed. I was functional in 2016 but stopped treatment for almost a year to work on my methylation issues and backslid/relapsed. I blame my LLMD for stopping my treatment and should have known better. I did try herbals but failed on that. I am now treating for Bart since last September. I believe it may be possible that Levaquin brought out dormant Lyme disease. Who knows. Things will get better with time. We all know how hard this journey can be. Stay strong and don’t let those nasty thoughts get you down. Been there! These diseases mess with our minds. We’re warriors fighting to get our lives back. Hold on tight and persevere, hon. xo

toxic effects from 2 doses of Levaquin in 2008.....Xanax for 4 monrhs in 2008 (horrific withdrawal effects)......CDC positive for Lyme's in 2009 (prescribed 200 mg daily of doxycycline for 2 months........extreme fatigue, anxiety, decreased cognition, etc. and was becoming worse in 2012......tested for Lyme's through Igenix and was CDC positive.....treatment started 9/2012

Patty - has your damage from the floxing healed? I’m thinking that OriolCarol might have been asking that?

Was it only one dose you took?

OriolCarol - while some people do have permanent effects - I have read many stories over the past few years of people who have healed completely or almost completely.

The important thing is you have stopped it now and your body is repairing

Two doses girlie. IV and then one pill at home and stop it when i feel tendon pain.

I had perfect combo inflamation cns + previous tendon problems + connective tissue disorder.

For that reason i'm very worried sad

I have had some great days when Lyme and co-infections are treated. I do believe I am healed from flouroquinolone damage.

That's good to hear summer16. I know when I was in my worst moments I really needed the reassurance of hearing stories of recovery from other patients (in regards to lyme, but I think the same applies to floxing, that getting better is possible).

How is your pain doing OriolCarol? How does it compare to the first day? Is it lessening at all, or having moments where it lets up a bit? I'm hoping it's going in the right direction.

Happy to hear this - I think about you every time I hear someone talk about being flowed or the risk of being floxed. Now I feel better.
Thanks for letting us know.

Pain is worse, but i'll wait... I've seen patients that pain subside after one month or more....

I have severe insomnia. I'll take lorazepam

I found out long ago the tendon pain it caused. Doctors treated my like a hypochondriac. But the good news is - no permanent damage. One off Cipro, it only took me a few days. But I wasn't on it long. Hoping the best.
