Hello everyone, this is the first topic I've posted, so apologies for any etiquette issues!

Top cut a long story short I've been ill for a year, starting last september but getting really ill at christmas, it has been dreadful. I'm on resveratrol, garlic, chlorella etc I am improving a lot.

But one of the problems at the moment is that my hands are constantly freeing and it's not even cold. They go very pale, I try moving them, it doesn't really help. I used to be an intensive swimmer but I get very little exercise now and don't have the energy to start again.
Any advice??
Thanks!

Welcome to our forum. Your should go thru the replies in the New to Lyme topic at the top of this page and see what other symptoms you have related to Lyme and co-infections.

My right hand is also freezing most of the time. I think my mouse on my office computer triggers it.

Hot, cold, tingling hands and feet is called peripheral neuropathy and is very common to folks with Lyme Disease and Bartonella.

Sometimes Gabapentin will help, and I also tale Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) to relieve nerve inflammation.

So is it actually cold or just the sensation?

I'm glad you are getting better! If it is actually cold, that is likely due to poor circulation. I used to get that a lot. Also, I had almost no energy when I had lyme so I was still much more often which can contribute to poor circulation quite a bit.

@ opugirl Other people have said that they feel like "corpse hands", so definitely not just the sensation! I think it is circulatory, not sure what to do though.... thankyou

Bluelyme, thank you!

My hands were super super cold before I started treatment. Slowly along the way, it resolved, and my hands are no longer in corpse/undead mode YAY!!! I mainly focused on antibiotic treatment, but added hormones (thyroid and testosterone), and herbs along the way.

I had very cold hands and feet. In my case treating babesia is what helped the most, and that issue resolved. Part of me wonders if the infection caused some sort of circulation issues. Might also want to look at enzymes like serrapeptase, that can help against biofilm but also with circulation.
