Thank you for your comments and thoughts! Girlie might not hurt to get an MRI done, especially if you have insurance, then you would know one way or the other right? I have to do more reading on Bartonella because it's still a bit mysterious to me.
Also, I recently switched from Byron White A-L Complex to other herbs bc I didn't think the A-L was doing it's job anymore as I feel sicker than I felt I should be after a year, like I've regressed. I'm finding it's hard to tell if I'm sick today bc I'm Herxing or the Lyme is making trouble. I cut down on my dose the past 2 days due to a bad Herx headache that kept me from sleeping most of the night. Pain meds don't touch my headaches anymore so my only defense is prevention. I'm taking charcoal every night and doing epsom foot soaks and have homeopathic detox that I take and where my Lyme dose is low it's hard for me to tell if it's Herxheimers or Lyme being nasty. I'm fatigued/run down feeling, slight headache, and slight upset stomach almost like I'm coming down with a bug kind of feeling. How do you recognize Herx vs Lyme?
A herx is a ramping up of current symptoms...and also can cause new symptoms to appear.
If you're like me - and you have flares - waxing and waning...its difficult to tell the difference.
If I get a really severe ramping up of symptoms and it's after starting a new regimen (ie abx/anti-malarials) then I attribute it to a herx.
I'm in Canada..so the MRI would be free...IF my Dr. would give me a requisition.
But, if not I could pay for one: $1000
I was hoping that because it waxes and wanes - often in unison with my other lyme/bart/babs symptoms that it meant it was infection related.
IDK though for sure.
Also - I did PT with an excellent physiotherapist for a year or so ...who checked me out and I think she'd have an inclination whether there was impingement in the scapula area....I hope.
