I’m being 100% honest when I ask if I should give in and commit suicide or try fighting? Years ago I had sex for the first time and got Genital Herpies. This so called easy to deal with skin infection costed me years of extreme nerve pain, fevers, burning and many other issues. I know have Lyme disease which says it’s debilitating. If HSV2 was so difficult for me then how will I ever be able to get past Lyme disease. I do not know if I will be able to keep fighting. It’s only been two months but the pain has been unbearable and the dizziness is so extreme. I have already had to take time off from my job which I loved. Is there hope?? Should I try moving forward? Please help me.

Absolutely hope. I thought about suicide, getting heroin/dilaudid, etc when I first got sick. But somethings can get better on their own, some things we learn to manage better, and somethings we learn to live with better. I'm still sick, but life is great these days

Thank you so much for that. I turned off my phone to try to go to bed since no one was replying but though I better turn it back on to check once more and there was your reply. You may have just saved my life smile I’m so glad you’re living well.

I'm really glad to hear that! Just keep your eye on the prize and remember to live well in the meantime. Try not to focus too much on the life you had, and rather on the one you're living. I've found that many of my old passions fell to the side but I became passionate about medicine and wellness as a result so it keeps me going. No one wants to be sick like this but it can be an opportunity for personal growth so just keep fighting. There's plenty of time to rest when we're dead

What we know now compared to what we knew 8-9 years ago when I first contracted lyme disease, you should definitely keep fighting! There's so much we've learned since then and a lot of these persister cell drugs and biofilm busters are helping a lot of patients.

There's patients of Dr. Horrowitz who has treated with the persister cell drugs and have put them in remission.

If you're not willing to try any of the persister cell drugs, at least give flagyl or tindamax a try. All antibiotics failed me in the beginning, until I tried those. And they took enormous amounts of inflammation and pain from me within a weeks time.

The fight can be tough and long, but it's well worth it in the long run, a lot to live for and don't take life for granted.

CBD oil from top brands like CW Hemp or Elixinol have helped a lot of patients deal with pain longterm!

Hey Hearts in Pain, I am so sorry that you are going through this. We never know how strong we are until we are put to the test.

When I first got sick I was so miserable. My wife and two kids depended on me to keep a roof over our head and provide them with food. How was I going to do this feeling so miserable? I could barely get out of bed, no way that I could work.

But you know what? The love that I have for my family gave me the strength to fight. Why was I going to let some tiny bugs beat me? No way!! Heck no!

So each day, I was thank full for being alive one more day. I did the best that I could, even when sometimes it wasn't much. and so here I am, 6 years later feeling better and helping others.

Please don't despair. You have to find your inner strength to fight this thing. You are too young to give up. Life has so much to offer so don't short change yourself. Things will get better. I promise you this. I know what you are going through because I have been dealing with it for years. So trust me when I say that one day you will look back and you will be glad that you fought.

You know what I have been doing lately? I keep a diary to log all my symptoms. When I feel sick I go back to it and read past entries to remind me that I have had worse days and that better days are coming. Try it and you will see that it is so therapeutic.

Some of the natural remedies for lyme probably treat hsv as well. I think I've seen that oregano oil and other things treat both but I'm not sure. Keep pushing through this, best of luck to you.

Alinia is an anti-bacteria, anti-parasite... and anti-virus
it has been shown to significantly to knock down HSV2 and cure herpies simplex 1.
the discovery that it is antivirus was an accident, and alina (nitazoxanide) has lead to discovery of a whole new class of drugs that will probably someday be the cure for many new diseases
Lots of LLMD and LLND prescripe alinia it's mentioned here a lot
It costs $80 a pill but you can order it from India alldaychemist for $.34

all of this is from memory so you'll have to google around but type "alinia hsv2" and the first result is actually this forum

sorry if i misunderstood your post or if this information doesn't apply, I'm a funny guy and misunderstand things some time.

Are you working with a doc? If there is ever time for a fight, it’s now. Dig deep and commit to beating this monster. We are fighting the fight with you.

As for the hsv2. I’m very sorry about that. Are you on antiviral? Or taking antiviral herbs? You may want to consider your immune system. Your body needs to keep the virus tapped down so doing everything you can to strengthen immune system is very important. A good doc should be able to help with that.

Biocidin (liosomal) contains oregano and other oils that are antiviral/bacterial/parasitic. You may know this, but probably a good idea to avoid arginine as it feeds viruses. So no collagen powders, bone broth, etc. Focusing on foods with higher lysine may be beneficial.

i think many of us with these long term chronic painful illnesses have thought about ending it. i've been at this 4 years and i can tell you it does get better. maybe not 100% but you will feel better.

also one infection doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the other in terms of your immune system being able to take care of it.

keep fighting until your last breath. you never know what will turn the corner for you.

as humans when all is lost we still have one thing left and that is hope.

if you are going to take a stab at alinia it's ridiculously expensive in the USA. instead get it from overseas try alldaychemist.com i used it for over 6 months and it was like .25 a pill versus $110 through my insurance

Def keep fighting! you have so many options for treatment and ways to get better. And it could be that the hsv2 was more difficult because you had other occult infections compromising your immune system. It's impossible to predict how easy or not treating lyme will be, but I wouldn't extrapolate from your experience with hsv2. Plus there are various ways to boost/modulate the immune system as you treat. Things like adaptogenic herbs, low dose naltrexone, diet, lifestyle, etc.

You are beginning a journey of recovery, and that is very exciting! there is lots of hope smile

The fear of the unknown can be completely overwhelming when dealing with something like Lyme disease. The truth is, things change on an ongoing basis. Our symptoms change. Our bodies change. Our responses or lack of responses to treatment change. You won't always feel as awful as you do right now.

Things don't always steadily improve, either, although they do for some. For many, improvements and setbacks ebb and flow. Hopefully, at some point, improvements come more frequently and last longer while setbacks occur less frequently for shorter periods of time. When we get stuck in a setback or plateau with improvements, we look for reasons why and experiment with other treatments. We come here and ask for help and ideas.

You are not alone in this. We're all in this together.

You don't really want to die. You really just want to know there's hope. There IS hope. Hang in there.

Thank you so much for checking in on me. I’m hanging in there as best I can. I’m on day 3 of the Doxy, nothing has happened yet do we’ll see. I’m still feeling suicidal but am holding on as tight as I can. I took a leave from work for awhile to hopefully get feeling better. Thank you again

Doxy takes a few days to build up in the blood and before you feel its full effects. I will tell you that when I took Doxy, I got worse and fell more ill than how I was feeling before it. Horrible headaches, aches all over the body, couldn't sleep, nerve pains all over the body, going to the bathroom a lot more often, just miserable!

But, This time it was because I was killing all of these bugs. Each time that I had a symptom I was glad because I knew that it was one less bug in my body!

So, if this happens to you, hang in there and don't give up. You will get better! Don't forget that smile

You can do it. Antibiotics don't always make you feel worse. I felt better I think after a few days when I was on antibiotics.

The bacteria or something try to convince you that you won't ever feel better, or that now you are sick there's nothing you can do, but they are just trying to trick you. Now I don't mean that they have any kind of way of thinking or communicating, I mean that sometimes when you're sick you get thoughts or feelings that aren't true. I always had a feeling that I was doing everything wrong all the time or something, but I really had to not pay attention to it, because when I did it made things worse.

I felt that way during my first treatment, it caused me to stop early because I had so much doubt. I'm doing much better now! Don't give up, it will be worth it.

I also had HSV2 before getting Lyme and co-infections. The lyme disease made me in constant HSV2 outbreak mode.
Since Ive been on Alinia> NO outgreaks....well for the most part. If Im exposed to a cold or flu virus then the hsv2 TRIES to appear so then I take valtrx. But the Alinia, YES it seems to do wonders!

I hope and pray that YOU may find hope. I pray(to Jesus) that He will give you His wisdom & knowledge through The Holy Spirit, and that His spirit will give you strength to persevere even in the midst of suffering.

IMO> faith is the only way to beat this dreaded unrelenting chronic illness. Pray and ask Him for His help.

Thank you so much everyone. acrained what treatment plan are you on now? Thank you for the tip mcspike. I’m holding on as best I can. So I’m on day four of the Doxy. No Herx yet. My doctor only gave me 10 days worth. Should I try and ask her for a four week treatment of Doxy? I’ll be seeing a LLMD on Tuesday, should I wait and ask her?

Btw do you guys work? I took some time off of my job.
