My 21 year old daughter was treated for Erichiosis with 1 month of antibiotics Aug 2018. Supposidly that is twice the usual treatment. Then she got a sinus infection and was on another antibiotic (didn't work), briefly on another and a Z-pack. She's still sleeping PLUS she has g.i. trouble from antibiotics.
We have no idea how long she had Ericchiosos. Could have been YEARS. She only got tested because she was SO tired and I had Re-activated Epstein Barr (MONO). Her labs showed the Erichiosis and prior exposure to Mono. At her age it was probably her first and hopefully last bout of it. I remember a 2 week period when all she did was sleep sleep sleep which is what I did at age 15 when I had MONO. This was my second reactivation that I know of. All we did was sleep this summer. Note: My daughter did not inherit any of my automimmune problems--she is adopted.
She's still tired. REALLY tired. She used to have endless energy. Up at sunrise, always outside, strong and healthy. She is completely different than the way she was 4 years ago.
Money is an issue. We have out of network insurance for a few more months and then I don't know what it will be. Its 3 months for an appointment with Dr. Y in Wantage NJ (we live in Sussex County near Sparta). Any recommendations. I heard there is someone good in or near Florhan Park but can't remember the name. Have family in Bergen County and even Summit NJ isn't that far. Help! Please.
