Four month daily (AM) celery juice trial.......just ended.
I ended up using a mini smoothie blender- so no separation of fiber and juice, its all of the celery in this trial, about
16-22 ounces every morning the last four months.
The only positive effect I could feel was better digestion vs other AM food.
**Having any veggies in the AM would have same effect** Note- I eat pretty clean, no junk food anyway. So did I feel better every morning after this? - No. Obviously If I ate crap, this would be better.
No lab changes (4 Comp Met Panels this period) either. Sodium and glucose were roughly the same..
Summery: This is mostly pure FAD.
I have yet to see any of the many countless "health gurus" online / you tube ect have any proof of benefits from this for people already eating well.
Numerous "kitchen/network online foodies" say "I feel gear after this!" - in what way? ***You feel great cause you got to make another video lol!** Did they not feel great before consuming celery juice? We dont know, they are not saying.
Is it better than donuts.?........well obviously, but anyone with health issues eating junk in the AM needs to re-prioritize food choices..
On the up side, its a base for something new in the AM vs the same old same old (whatever that might be for you). And if your gut digestion is still in wrecked mode, this is probably good for it.
So I will still do this for more AM food variety, but it wont be an everyday habit anymore.
Initial lyme symptoms in late 80's, again with bullseye early 90's. Started ABX 2014, ended in Jan 2016. Flares ended after. Lyme "B gone" as far as I can tell (Cured?). Now: Healing the aftermath-Rebuilding / fine tuning / fixing muscles and still improving nutrition and immune via better gut health. + 20 years of Hashimoto is now improving. Nodule B-gone too.
